This audio course will give children the basic Welsh vocabulary they need to greet other people and understand key words and phrases including the weather, colors, numbers, parts of the body, time and many other topics that are frequently used in conversation (complete list of topics included in this course is below). Games, exercises and sound effects aid learning and promote engagement with the course. 
 
Content is presented over eight sessions include facts and context about Welsh culture. Over the sessions content becomes more advanced and reviews content from prior sessions to build retention. First content is heard, then it is repeated to check understanding. Activities such as ordering ice cream, hearing a mediation in Welsh and recognizing Welsh words in context also build understanding. 
 
This is an ideal way for younger learners aged 5-14 to begin to build a working understanding of Welsh, learning words they can immediately put to use and will recognize in conversation and dialogue because of their frequent usage.
