Sinopse

"Ylva The Sailor" plunges readers into a gripping ocean adventure, following Ylva Larsson, a Swedish former Olympic sailor, as she embarks on a daring 100-day solo circumnavigation of the globe. Haunted by her brother's tragic death, Ylva seeks redemption and self-discovery on the high seas.

As she battles treacherous waters and her own inner demons, she forms an unlikely bond with Dr. Marcus Chen, a marine biologist studying climate change, via satellite communication. The narrative swells with heart-pounding action as Ylva faces violent storms, equipment failures, and a looming cyclone. Yet it's not just a tale of survival; it's a journey of transformation.

Readers will feel the salt spray on their faces and hear the creaking of the boat's hull as Ylva navigates from the bustling ports of Mumbai to the serene beaches of Tahiti. The ocean itself becomes a character, its moods reflecting Ylva's internal struggles and showcasing the delicate balance between human ambition and nature's power.

As Ylva uncovers evidence of illegal fishing operations, she's forced to choose between completing her journey and risking everything to expose the truth. This environmental thriller aspect adds depth to an already compelling story of personal redemption and global interconnectedness.

With its unique blend of high-stakes adventure and intimate character study, "Ylva The Sailor" offers a poignant exploration of resilience, the healing power of nature, and our responsibility to the planet.

Called upon to protect his best friend’s sister when her life is threatened by a stalker, as a former FBI hostage rescue expert, and current Eidolon operative, Reid is perfect for the job and can handle any danger that comes his way. What he can’t handle is taking one look at Callie and falling in lust at first sight. Loyalty to his friend means he must keep his hands to himself, though, and not persuade Callie into his bed like he desperately wants to.
Growing up with different mothers, Callie and her brother only saw it each other at weekends, and she’d never met his best friend in person. Over the years she’d heard stories and seen pictures of Reid, though, and her young heart fell in love with the tattooed hunk. Picked up by a modelling agency as a teen, her career took off, and she’s travelled the world.
Now an adult, Callie wants more from life, and when her brother asks Reid to protect her, old feelings are brought to the surface. As the days go by and they fight their attraction to each other, Callie realizes she wants so much more from him than what he’s prepared to give. She wants forever, and that may be one thing she doesn’t have.
As the stakes rise and old enemies raise their heads, Reid must employ every trick he has to keep the woman he is falling in love with safe—even if that means walking away and breaking both their hearts.

Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin was born on the 30th August 1797 in Somers Town, London.

Her mother, the famous feminist philosopher, educator, and writer Mary Wollstonecraft died when Mary was only 11 days old and she was raised by her father, the philosopher, novelist, journalist, and perpetually in debt, William Godwin.

Though Mary received little formal education her father taught her a broad range of subjects and added to her bright and curious personality she easily absorbed a good and broad education.

In July 1814, after conducting a secret affair with the poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, who had earlier promised to pay off yet another round of her father’s business debts, the pair eloped to France. Within two months, penniless and pregnant they returned to England.

Her husbands’ affairs caused her frequent heartbreak but despite all the travails, including the loss of her own child, Shelley’s recent inheritance gave them the opportunity to journey again to Europe.

It was here that ‘Frankenstein’ was born and established Mary’s own name in literature.

Her life hereafter was plagued with loss; the death of two further children and then her husband in a boating accident. Her writing continued through novels, travel pieces and biographies. Her short stories, some based in Europe, tackle difficult situations and genres as well the obstacles that women were burdened with in society. Her editorship of her late husband’s poetry was also widely praised.

Mary’s radical politics continued to guide her journey throughout her life but, by 1840, illness had begun to haunt her years, depriving her of energy and vigour.

Mary Shelley died on the 1st February 1851, at Chester Square, London of a suspected brain tumour. She was 53.

Who knows? Maybe you’ll meet some sexy Viking and bear him many children!
The tickets to Viking Times were supposed to be a friendly joke—a way for Sylvia and her boyfriend to reconnect while indulging in her love for history. But when Sylvia finds herself alone on the big night, she goes anyway, never expecting to be involved, let alone rescued, from a demon attack. Her savior…a sexy red-headed Viking warrior, who—surprise!—also happens to be a vampire. Apparently, she doesn’t have enough problems in her life (disappointing ex-boyfriend, disappearing teenage BFF, sordid childhood trauma)—she has to up the ante and include the supernatural (vampires, demons, and witches, oh my!). As she falls deeper into this frighteningly familiar world, Sylvia discovers that she can’t accept her future without confronting her past.
Theo knows he wants her blood from the first moment, but as he explores the mystery surrounding Sylvia, he wonders for the first time if he wants more. Struggling between his bloodlust and her pursuers, Theo must decide if Sylvia is the one to finally invite into his life.
The demon known as Mr. Pilkington has spent a long time studying desire, but when it comes to his own needs, he can be as willfully blind as the humans he observes. Until it comes to the one he wants…
