Sinopsis

Paul Dent — the Falcon — has spent his life outrunning authority, but some prisons are designed to erase people rather than hold them. When a ruthless scientist tests an experimental vibration weapon on him, Dent expects death. Instead, he finds himself stranded in a parallel world where familiar laws no longer apply, and where survival depends on quick thinking, uneasy alliances, and constant movement through environments that shift from deadly fog to alien skies. Every step forward forces Dent to rethink who he is when stripped of ships, crew, and reputation. 
As the story unfolds, danger comes not only from the strange worlds beyond Earth but also from the people who survive them. A brilliant but emotionless alien, a political prisoner with her own loyalties, and the shadow of tyranny waiting back home create mounting pressure that never lets up. The tension drives toward one question: if power suddenly lands in your hands, do you become what you once fought against, or choose something harder? 
Henry Kuttner was one of the most versatile and prolific writers in science fiction’s formative pulp era, publishing in magazines such as Thrilling Wonder Stories, Astounding Science Fiction, and Weird Tales. Writing both under his own name and in collaboration with C. L. Moore, he created stories that blended fast pacing with bold conceptual ideas, often pushing characters into extreme moral situations. “Beyond Annihilation,” originally published in Thrilling Wonder Stories, reflects Kuttner’s early talent for mixing high-concept speculative science with relentless adventure while still leaving room for sharp character reversals and emotional stakes.
