"There is much military wisdom to be gleaned from Lunde's writings and this makes his autobiography a must-have for any military historian. It is also a wonderful read for anyone simply seeking to read about and appreciate the life and experiences of a very fine soldier." — Vietnam MagazineHenrik Lunde grew up in Norway and came to the United States with his parents as a teenager. After completing high school, he attended the University of California at Berkeley, graduating in 1958 as the Honor Graduate in the History Department. He also received an appointment in the Regular Army. After the Basic Infantry Officer, Ranger and Airborne courses, and his first duty station with the 2nd Battle Group, 6th Infantry Regiment in Berlin, Hank spent 18 months with a covert Special Forces unit in Berlin. In 1963 he attended the Infantry Officer Career Course at Fort Benning and was designated an Honor Graduate. He then attended the elite Pathfinder Course before reporting to Fort Campbell, Kentucky for assignment to the elite 101st Airborne Division. After graduating from the Command and General Staff College in 1970, in the upper 10% of the class, he moved on to Syracuse University to obtain a master’s degree. After a year at the Political/Military Division of the Army General Staff with southeast Asia as his responsibility area Hank attended the U.S. Army War College as the second youngest student in 1975–76. From 1976 to 1979, he served in the Plans of Policy branch of Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe. His last assignment was as Director of National and International Security Studies for Europe at the Army War College. Colonel Lunde is highly decorated from his three tours in Vietnam.

Polynesian mythology is a vast and intricate tapestry of stories, gods, and legendary heroes that have shaped the cultures of the Pacific Islands for centuries. Spanning across a region known as the Polynesian Triangle—bounded by Hawaii, New Zealand (Aotearoa), and Easter Island (Rapa Nui)—these myths have been passed down through generations via oral tradition. Each island group has its own variations, yet many of the themes, characters, and cosmic beliefs remain deeply connected, reflecting a shared ancestry and worldview.

At the heart of Polynesian mythology is a deep reverence for nature and the forces that shape the world. The ocean, sky, and land are not merely elements of the physical environment but sacred entities, often personified by gods and spirits. The vast Pacific, for example, is not only a means of travel but also a living force, ruled by deities like Tangaroa, the god of the sea. The sun, moon, stars, and winds play crucial roles in these legends, guiding great navigators and influencing the balance of life.

Oral tradition is the foundation of Polynesian storytelling. Before the arrival of writing, myths and legends were preserved through chants, songs, and performances. Storytellers, often elders or priests, ensured that each retelling remained faithful to tradition while also adapting to the audience and setting. This fluidity allowed myths to evolve while maintaining their core meanings. Through these stories, people learned about their ancestry, moral values, and the origins of their world.

Coming Full Circle is a detailed, informative guide on using psychedelics to heal that is intertwined with a deeply personal memoir of the authors own journey of healing. It will empower its listeners with a greater understanding of the true potential, limitations, risks, and nuances to the process of using psychedelics to heal trauma.
With each passing year, new evidence of the immense healing potential psychedelics offer for anxiety, depression, addiction, PTSD, and more emerge from credible studies and research groups. As the excitement grows, so too does the often dangerous misinformation generated by profiteers and pseudo experts. A fierce protector of those who are utilizing psychedelics as a way to heal their emotional wounds and trauma, Shannon Duncan knows firsthand the courage, determination, and vulnerability required to approach emotional healing in this specialized way.
"Coming Full Circle comes at a time when many are considering trying psychedelics as a means to healing their trauma. This book gives an unflinching, realistic look at what treatment resistant trauma can look like and takes the reader on a journey of healing with a raw, painfully honest delivery. It’s a powerful tale of healing emotional wounds and trauma with the help of psychedelics.”
-Rick Doblin, PhD, (Founder and President of MAPS, Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies)
“When it comes to psychedelic experiences and the management of trauma, Shannon Duncan has walked the walk. What he shares in Coming Full Circle, the result of years of direct engagement at the heart of the mystery, is both deeply healing and richly informative. Highly recommended.”

Animal testing has long been a cornerstone of scientific research, serving as a method to understand biological processes, test the safety and efficacy of products, and develop medical treatments. It involves the use of live animals in experiments and observational studies to explore the effects of drugs, chemicals, and other substances on biological systems. This practice, while often viewed as essential, is fraught with controversy, ethical dilemmas, and scientific scrutiny.
The origins of animal testing can be traced back to ancient Greece, where philosophers like Aristotle and Erasistratus conducted rudimentary experiments on animals to study anatomy and physiology. Over centuries, as medicine and technology advanced, the scope and complexity of animal testing expanded. By the 19th and 20th centuries, animal experimentation had become an institutionalized component of biomedical research, contributing to groundbreaking discoveries such as vaccines, antibiotics, and surgical techniques.
Today, animal testing is pervasive across multiple industries, including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and chemicals. It is primarily used to evaluate the safety of products, ensure regulatory compliance, and develop new treatments for diseases. Animals such as mice, rats, rabbits, and primates are commonly employed because of their physiological similarities to humans, which researchers argue make them suitable models for studying human biology.

"Martin King tells the human side of the story of the Battle of the Bulge better than anyone."
Commander Jeffrey Barta, US Navy (retired)

"I have walked the battlefields with Martin King, who has traversed them countless times with veterans of the Bulge. No one knows this story like Martin, and no one can tell it quite the way he does."
Rick Beyer, New York Times bestselling author of The Ghost Army of World War II

The vortex of a tornado is a vacuum, and that is where we were, in the centre of a storm of armour and artillery pushing forward into the Ardennes.
    - John Hillard Dunn, 106th Division, US Army

The Battle of the Bulge was the largest land engagement of World War II. The German counter-attack, spearheaded by three Panzer armies, found the Allies unprepared and ill-equipped. As the fighting raged across the frosty forests of the Ardennes, it was left to a few untested US Infantry divisions to hold the Allied lines. Written by one of the world's leading experts on the subject, this account provides an essential introduction to the events of winter 1944-5 and to the many soldiers who risked their lives in defence of freedom.

Drawing on personal interviews, extensive research, and an unparalleled knowledge of the region, Martin King explores one of the most important battles of World War II.
