This audio-based training guides you through every step, helping you sound natural, nuanced, and believable — without falling into stereotypes.
The course breaks down the unique sound patterns of Indian-accented English, teaching you how to shape vowels, soften consonants, and replicate the musical rhythm that defines the accent. You'll learn how regional languages influence speech, giving your delivery a natural flow that goes beyond surface imitation. With a focus on ear training and vocal drills, you'll fine-tune every sound while developing an instinct for the accent's melody and pacing.
This training is designed to help actors create rich, layered performances. By connecting the accent to character and context, you'll avoid clichés and build performances that feel grounded and authentic.
Every lesson is crafted with actors in mind, combining technical precision with practical exercises. Dialogue practice helps you integrate the accent into performance, preparing you for auditions, rehearsals, and on-camera work. The flexible audio format fits easily into your daily routine, letting you learn at your own pace.

The language of Poetry is an art that most of us attempt at some point in our lives. Although its commonplace exposure has been somewhat marginalised in today’s often fast-paced lives we all recognise good verse that can empathise with our thoughts or open us up to experience new things in new ways, to better understand and to enjoy the many strands of our lives.

But finding a starting point can be overwhelming, even off-putting, so in this series we offer up our Top 10 classic poets, who brim with talent and verse, on a range of subjects and themes that we can all enjoy.

The world of nature is often the first resource a poet has for muse and inspiration. Nature has infinite ways of both revealing herself and putting together landscapes of majesty and wonder in everything from a flower to the universe.

"Dedicated to my mother, the Great Goddess."
Life, unpredictable, yields return for sacrifices made. Departing from the conventional path, I surrendered much to existence. Pain, a constant companion, birthed verse—each line a product of anguish turned art. In the ebb and flow of life's challenges, I found solace in writing. What emerged were rhythmic verses, transforming suffering into poetry. Some reflect, others introspect; some offer insight, and others observe. Regardless, each verse is a product of life's trials and emotions. Surprisingly, these verses multiplied over the years. Today, I share them not for accolades, but to be heard amidst the chaos. Some stories must be told, some silences shattered. I offer my rhymes openly, a reflection, a token of my journey.

Featuring new translations of previously untranslated Chinese short stories, Memorandum maps out seven decades of Sinophone Singaporean Literature. From bargirls to student activists, from trishaw men to tea merchants, this collection provides a glimpse into a world that has been previously invisible to Anglophone readers. Paired with critical essays, these stories showcase the richness and diversity of Singapore’s Chinese community, but also its inherent interconnectedness with other cultures within Singapore.

“Memorandum is a pathbreaking anthology that refracts over half a century of Singapore’s history through its lens. The translated stories do much more than simply bridge Sinophone and Anglophone worlds: they actively cross geographical, cultural, linguistic and class boundaries, causing us to think more deeply about the nature of social power, and the transformative interventions literary texts can make.”
