Sinopsis

In "Alpacalypse Now," Tina Shears, a former Wall Street hotshot, finds herself thrust into the world of alpaca farming in the quaint town of Woolville. This fish-out-of-water tale blends sharp wit with absurdist humor as Tina fumbles through her new rural responsibilities, armed with nothing but her city smarts and a herd of surprisingly clever alpacas.
The stakes rise when she uncovers a nefarious plot by a big agriculture corporation to transform Woolville into an industrial complex, forcing her to rally a ragtag group of quirky townsfolk to save their community. As Tina hilariously attempts to apply her corporate strategies to farm life, readers are treated to a delightful array of alpaca-themed puns and running gags.
The novel cleverly satirizes both corporate culture and small-town dynamics, while weaving in themes of community, personal growth, and the unexpected wisdom found in the simplest of places. Through Tina's journey of learning to slow down and appreciate rural life, "Alpacalypse Now" offers a heartwarming and hilarious exploration of the paths life can take when we least expect it.

BruceG is a Professional Grower in the Kingdom of Aspen trying to complete an environmental plan to protect the aquifer at Justin’s feedlot. But, he is continually thwarted by “systemic discrimination” being practiced by Professional Builders from a “dysfunctional” government regulatory body because they believe only builders can do feedlot plans.
    A ‘turf war” pursues.
Queen Mara, a Political Appointee within the Ministry, takes up the builder’s cause and decrees only builders can do feedlot designs. She threatens closure of Justin’s Better Beef Haven. BruceG fights back and Queen Mara files a complaint against him for challenging her edict and offending her ego.
Now BruceG has to deal with a scarecrow, his own self-regulatory body, the League of Growers, who decides on complaints and can discipline its’ members. The ensuing investigation is fraught with biases contributing to procedural unfairness.
Saving Justin’s feedlot and protecting the aquifer hangs in the air.
The author, Doug Cameron, has worked close-up and “in the face of” various regulatory bodies for over 40 years. He is familiar with their legislated power and the harassment and abuse they can dish out when challenged—all hidden from the public. The lack of an overseer to rein-in scarecrows gone awry is a major issue.
This book uses satire to expose the inner workings, stupidity, biases and unnatural justice used by reg-bodies to protect their own self-interests and/or self-image rather than protect the interests and well-being of the public.

This audiobook is narrated by an AI Voice.
She’s Fine is a collection of short fiction that captures the inner lives of women navigating the complexities, contradictions, and quiet absurdities of contemporary life.
From navigating social expectations to managing the unseen pressures of modern adulthood, each short story offers a sharply observed, often darkly funny portrait of a woman holding it together—gracefully, strategically, and with just enough restraint to keep things civil.
These are stories about everyday moments and small personal reckonings: the polite conversations that conceal chaos, the subtle emotional calculations behind a simple “I’m fine,” and the quiet mental gymnastics required to stay composed in a world that rarely notices the effort.
Perfect for readers who enjoy smart, character-driven stories with wit, subtle satire, and a keen sense of emotional truth, She’s Fine is an honest, entertaining, and quietly defiant look at modern womanhood.

NO ONE is their authentic self at work
Currant Keppler has a fresh MBA and her first corporate job: participating in the LATTE Management Rotation Program at Alpine Chalet Coffee Company, the Midwest's second-largest coffee chain. She's fluent in jargon, excited for new challenges, and completely bought in—until she realizes that there's something fishy with her first project.
I'm in the big leagues now, she tells herself. This is just how the game is played. But when a question of ethics turns into a question of murder, she learns that some people will do anything to succeed – and that NO ONE is their authentic self at work.
Combining corporate culture, the start-up scene, cabin life, and punny coffee drinks, Firebrand takes a campy, loving look at impostor syndrome, authenticity, and the absurdities of the corporate world.
