This time, Juniper takes off on a summertime quest in a story sure to delight young listeners all year round.Juniper and her loyal flying reindeer Skära are the first ever Guardians of Cedar Wood. With Juniper’s mentor Niko back in the North Pole, they’re entrusted with protecting the magical forest hidden in the middle of London because there’s a teeny-tiny chance that he left behind a few sparks of magic… but definitely not enough to attract any dangerous magical creatures. Probably. It turns out Niko actually left behind a lot of magic, transforming the entire forest into a haven for powerful creatures just as he's stranded far from London. A witch wielding a flaming dagger, a cursed queen desperate for a cure, and a pack of wolves out for revenge are all in pursuit of a legendary fox with the power to grant a wish under the midsummer Blood Moon—and the very fate of the Cedar Wood, and possibly all of Britain, hangs in the balance. Protecting the forest from these calamitous newcomers is a lot of work for a thirteen-year-old and her trusty reindeer, but Juniper is determined to save the world. And one more thing—this adventure features a giant ground sloth, which is about the size of a Toyota Prius, but with more claws."Olivia Forrest...charmingly narrates this magical story...[and] enchants as she delivers descriptions of Earth from above, the alluring winter snowscape, and jokes." —AudioFile on Juniper's ChristmasA Macmillan Audio production from Roaring Brook Press

In the final book in the Book Uncle trilogy, Anil faces a dilemma when the city decides to build a solar panel factory on the site of a mangrove forest.
Anil loves karate, his friends and the solar power project he has been championing in his community. He doesn’t love having to speak up — as his karate sensei says, best fight, no fight. Still, Anil wishes his classmate Mohan would stop picking on him.
Then Anil learns where the city is planning to build a new solar panel factory. More sustainable energy is good news — but this factory will threaten plant and animal species and force the village people who live on the land to move. Maybe staying quiet isn’t an option anymore …
A class assignment nudges Anil into action. Now he’s a Young Reporter, so why not ask questions about the factory? With help from his friends Yasmin and Reeni, support from his classmates and neighbors, and the right book picks from Book Uncle, can Anil help the city find a solution that works for everyone? And just how loudly will he have to speak up?
A triumphant finale to the Book Uncle trilogy about the power of asking the right questions and listening when change comes to your community.
