Synopsis

Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz (1646-1716) was a German mathematician, philosopher, scientist and diplomat who invented calculus in addition to many other branches of mathematics and statistics. He has been called the "last universal genius" due to his knowledge and skills in different fields and because such people became less common during the Industrial Revolution and spread of specialized labor after his lifetime. As a philosopher, Leibniz was a leading representative of 17th-century rationalism and idealism. Leibniz's philosophical thinking appears fragmented because his philosophical writings consist mainly of a multitude of short pieces: journal articles, manuscripts published long after his death, and letters to correspondents.Leibniz dated his beginning as a philosopher to his Discourse on Metaphysics, which he composed in 1686 as a commentary on a running dispute between Nicolas Malebranche and Antoine Arnauld. We propose it to our readers today in the English translation by George Redington Montgomery (1909).

During the reign of the Artaxiad dynasty, Armenia became a hub of trade and commerce, connecting the Silk Road and the Mediterranean world. The Armenian kings encouraged the development of agriculture, commerce, and arts, and the kingdom became renowned for its skilled artisans, writers, and philosophers. Of course, given its central location, the dynasty also faced numerous challenges, including repeated invasions by the Roman and Parthian empires, internal conflicts, and economic hardships. The dynasty’s resilience and adaptability enabled it to survive for nearly two centuries, leaving behind a rich cultural and political legacy that has endured in the region, even as its historical memory was overshadowed by its more powerful neighbors.
After the collapse of the Artaxiad dynasty (at the onset of the 1st century BCE), Rome and the kingdom of Parthia engaged in a competition for political influence in the vast territory of Greater Armenia. The Parthian Arshakunis endeavored to expel Rome from the region, aiming to establish the dominance of their own lineage. The political strategy devised by Parthian King Artabanus III, however, remained unrealized, as his sons Vorodes and Arshak I, who held the throne in Great Armenia, were deposed due to the intervention of the Roman Emperor Tiberius. By inciting the Alban, Georgian, and other neighboring tribes against the Armenians, Tiberius facilitated the ascendancy of Mithridates, the brother of Iberian King Pharasmanes, to the throne of Greater Armenia in the year 36.
This set the pattern by which the Roman Empire sought to preserve its influence in Greater Armenia by employing foreign kings as proxies. In contrast, the Armenian people and their rulers strived to emancipate themselves from Roman hegemony and the dominance of their allies.

Helen says, “I’m certain that you’ve already heard about the estate that I have.”
It’s no secret that Helen’s rich. Like, the kind of rich that vacations in Aspen, always has a silver, gold, and platinum card on hand, and yes, has a super gorgeous estate house out in the woods. The kind of place that people would kill to have for themselves.
It’s even got a hot tub.
    	Tara nods.
“In my previous arrangement, I allowed Trisha, your predecessor, use of the estate house whenever she wanted. And in return, she gave me relief.”

From a dark age, the light of prophecy shines forth. From deep in the bowels of a divided Europe emerge stark warnings to mankind that resonate within us even now.

Prophecies that are seemingly impossible and yet are there for all to see. The outbreak of a worldwide pandemic, the death of Queen Elizabeth, the invasion of Ukraine, global warming, terror attacks, world war and the end of times. These, and more, were foreseen by a 16th century physician. Indeed we are told that a coming war, starting in Europe, will engulf the globe and cause catastrophic numbers of deaths. The materialistic Christian West will do battle with the united forces of the East and the Muslim world following a Russian invasion of Europe. Ballistic rockets will reign down upon us all.

Are we ready for the truth?

This is the tale of that man and his unique insight into the global events set in motion by mankind. This is the story of the end of the world and the man we know as Nostradamus. This is the story of how he became infamous.

    Norse Mythology - Legends Gods...

Norse mythology is a rich tapestry of tales, beliefs, and traditions that played a crucial role in the cultural, social, and spiritual life of the Norse people. Emerging from the ancient Scandinavian regions, Norse mythology provides insights into how the Norse viewed the world, their gods, and their place in the cosmos. This mythology is not only a collection of stories but also a reflection of the values, beliefs, and practices that defined the Norse way of life.

In Norse culture, mythology served multiple functions. It provided explanations for natural phenomena, such as thunder, lightning, and the changing seasons. For instance, the god Thor was often associated with storms and fertility, symbolizing the life-giving power of rain. Myths were integral to the Norse understanding of the world around them, framing their experiences and guiding their actions.

Moreover, mythology reinforced social values and norms. Tales of heroic deeds, such as those of Beowulf or Sigurd the Dragon Slayer, exemplified ideals of bravery, loyalty, and honor. These narratives served as moral compasses, instructing individuals on how to navigate the complexities of life. The importance of kinship, courage in battle, and the pursuit of glory were emphasized through these stories, shaping the identities of both individuals and communities.
