  Transcurre el último quinquenio de los noventa y los colores variopintos del consenso; también el revuelo del arresto de Pinochet en Londres y las primeras chispas de Lumaco, el "Chiapas chileno". Las consecuencias de esos episodios le parecen, en su segundo viaje, indicios de un inconsciente político activado con la revuelta estudiantil de 2011.
