Summary

A collection of five short cozy ghost mysteries. Not all of the customers that visit Second Hand Rose are; some are ghosts that ask Kate to help them with their unfinished business. 
 
The Final Bet – Kate meets her first ghost, an elderly man who needs to contact his wife. 
 
The Lost Baby - A ghost is looking for her lost baby. The ghost was told that her baby had died at birth – but she just knows this isn’t true.  
 
The Last Laugh - Kate meets a teenage boy who fell from a bridge. He needs Kate to contact his mum to clear up a misunderstanding. 
The Hidden Picture - Paintings are brought into the shop – along with the artist ghost. The ghost asks Kate to find his one true love, Sally Braithwaite. 
The 7th Birthday Party - Kate uses a box of birthday decorations that she finds in the shop. Her daughter, Emily, tells her there is a ghost attached to the box, a ghost of a little girl who died before her birthday.

Now he must return to his stepmother's castle which lies east of the sun and west of the moon and marry the troll princess who has a nose three ells long.
