Everyone knows about Bobby Hull, but not everyone remembers that his brother Dennis also was a hockey star in his own right and in this book, the other Hull outlines his life in hockey with humorous anecdotes and stories. Hockey legend Gordie Howe once said there were two superstars in the Hull family: Bobby, the Golden Jet, one of the greatest players ever to tie up a pair of skates for the Chicago Blackhawks, and his brother Dennis, who had a solid career with the Chicago Blackhawks as well. Dennis is now a sought-after public speaker in North America as fans were equally interested to know about the other Hull. Some of the stories include the time Hull taught Guy Lafleur to speak English; how Hull once won a coin toss worth $250,000; and talks of his ongoing rivalry with Henri Richard, the younger brother of the legendary Montreal Canadiens' great Maurice Richard. Along the way, Dennis gives an account of the famed 1972 Russia/Canada series and speaks with candor about his brother, Bobby; his nephew and St. Louis Blues' star Brett Hull; and hockey legends such as Howe, Ken Dryden, and Bobby Orr. This new edition includes new photos and fills in the blank on the past 25 years, bringing the Hull family story up-to-date,and providing insight into the life of a hockey star without taking himself too seriously.

The renowned WWII historian’s in-depth biography of the Nazi military commander who played a key role in the invasions of Poland, France and Russia. Field Marshal Gerd von Rundstedt was one of the most important German commanders of the Second World War. He served on both the Western and Eastern Fronts of World War I and rose steadily through the ranks of the German army before retiring in 1938. Then, only a year later, he was recalled to help execute Hitler’s invasion of Poland. He played a leading part in this and the subsequent invasion of France. Thereafter he commanded Army Group South in the assault on Russia before being sacked at the end of 1941. Recalled again, Rundstedt was made Commander-in-Chief West and as such faced the 1944 Allied invasion of France, but was removed that July. He resumed his post in September 1944 and had overall responsibility for the December 1944 Ardennes counter-offensive. Captured by the Americans, he gave testimony as a defense witness at Nuremberg. Though he was charged with war crimes, he was spared trial due to his ill health.

A leading George MacDonald scholar presents a fascinating introduction to the 19th century Scottish author’s views on Christianity, faith, and God.   The Victorian author, poet, and theologian George MacDonald inspired some of the greatest writers of the early 20th century, including C.S. Lewis, who said MacDonald’s books were pivotal in leading him toward Christianity. While MacDonald’s beloved fiction—including classics like Robert Falconer and At the Back of the North Wind—remain popular, his sermons and nonfiction writings on faith are less well-known.   Now MacDonald scholar and biographer Michael Phillips presents a comprehensive introduction to George MacDonald’s theological ideas. In George MacDonald’s Spiritual Vision, Phillips provides extensive, thematically arranged quotes from the author’s writings. This brief volume covers topics from the nature and character of God to salvation, justice and atonement.
