  The House They Grew Up In is a tender, dark and funny look at a co-dependent relationship between a brother and a sister, and how they cope when the world bursts in on them. It explores how, in an age of anxiety, we live alongside those different to us.

Poems can evoke within us an individual response that takes us by surprise; that opens our ears and eyes to very personal feelings.

  Beowulf

  The oldest long poem in Old English, written about 1000 A.D., Beowulf tells the story of a great warrior in Southern Scandinavia in both youth and maturity. The monster Grendel terrorises the Scyldings of Hrothgar’s Danish Kingdom until Beowulf defeats him. As a result he has to face her enraged mother. Beowulf dies after a battle against a fierce dragon. The tale is powerfully performed here by Crawford Logan in a lively modern translation from the original West Saxon dialect.

In Demons, Dr Faustus has become Peter Proud, a rather bored Professor of Christian Morals at Harvard Divinity School who becomes obsessed with the supernatural world. This adaptation also ads a whole new section to the play, with a new character, the hero’s dead wife, and a new motive behind his quest for knowledge: the desire to resurrect her.An L.A. Theatre Works full-cast performance featuring Richard Benjamin, Raymond Fox, Jonathan Fried, Jeremy Geidt, Timothy Karcher, John Lathan, Paula Prentiss, Matt Rauch and Mark Zeisler.
