""The joy for me is knowing that somebody can have this strange audio experience. They're getting something as good as you get from radio."" - Neil Gaimen
Produced by the Sci-Fi Channel and Seeing Ear Theatre - these two plays are adapted for voice by Neil Gaiman from two of his short stories (both stories can be found in Smoke & Mirrors).
SNOW GLASS APPLES: Once upon a time there lived a young princess with skin as white as snow, with hair as black as coal, with lips redder than blood. Most people think they know what happens to this young unfortunate girl. Most people are wrong. Tony-award winning actress Bebe Neuwirth (Chicago, Sweet Charity, and TV's Cheers) stars as a wise Queen who wants nothing more than to reign over her kingdom peacefully but is forced to match wits with an inhuman child who has an unnatural taste for blood.
Full Cast List: Bebe Neuwirth as the Queen ; Martin Carey as the Huntsman; Mark Evans as the Prince; Merwin Goldsmith as the Lord of the Fair; J.R. Horne as the Archbishop & Friar; Alissa Hunnicutt as the Maidservant; Randy Maggiore as a Soldier; Kate Simses as the Princess; Nick Wyman as the King
MURDER MYSTERIES: In this mystery noir set in heaven's City of Angels before the fall, the first crime has been committed. It is an awful one. While the angelic hosts labor to create the world and its workings, one of their number is mysteriously slain by one of their own. Raguel, Angel of Vengeance, is mandated by Lucifer to discover both motive and murderer in this holy dominion that had so recently known no sin.
Full Cast List: Brian Dennehy as Raguel ; Anne Bobby as Tink's Friend ; Christopher Burns as Saraquael ; Thom Christopher as Lucifer ; Ed Dennehy as Zephkiel ; Michael Emerson as Narrator ; Traci Godfrey as Tinkerbell Richmond ; Evan Pappas as Phanuel

In this collection of almost two hundred poems that stick the knife in - but the knife tickles and makes you laugh, Sam captures the modern world in the most vivid colours.
Poking and prodding at the minutiae of daily life with a chewed brush and painting with words that highlight their more curious aspects, these are pictures you won’t soon forget.
In the first few dozen pages, our man has covered litter, unboxing videos, spousal abuse, body art, the environment, the rat race, pornography, the digital world and more. It’s a swerving, swooping, doing‐a‐wheelie‐on‐a‐Raleigh‐chopper ride through the world of Sam Marsh’s mind and the stabilisers are off! Sam Marsh doesn’t go with the flow. He is his own flow. His work is a secret treat for the initiated and a sparkling future discovery for those with the will to dig for such prizes. It’s not for everyone; but what is that’s really worth the effort? He’s a punk, a musician, a poet and a Buddhist and sees no conflict in this whatsoever.

For fans of Between Two Kingdoms and Milk and Honey, a dazzling, unconventional memoir—in essays and verse—of a young woman’s sojourn with breast cancer; a chronicle of the most tragic moments in loss, and a celebration ofthe most tender moments in life.Question:If one breast is triple positive and the other triple negative, do they cancel each other out?Asking for a friend.    In this intimate meditation, Allison Sweet Grant begins at the place she assumed was the end. Barely 40, a mother of three, and just embarking upon her literary career, she started detailing her cancer experience the only way she knew how. In poems and compositions including “The Good Patient: A Play,” “A Note on Common Sense,” “Hot-Girl Summer,” and “1000 Kinds of Clouds,” Grant deftly explores every emotion, from the gripping panic of diagnosis to the bittersweet relief of recovery, and the heartbeats in between.     Unpretentious, gut-wrenchingly honest, and at times devastatingly funny, Lump illuminates the fear, hope, everyday indignities of illness, and unexpected joys of healing with sobering clarity and wisdom. Whether you’re on a similar course, supporting a loved one through theirs, or simply appreciate lyrical musings and poignant prose, this evocative collection is one you will savor and share.

"Chattering at School" is a series of animal poems that invites the reader to learn and marvel at all the wonders of the natural world. The poems include fun narratives on the surface, while containing learning and teaching moments as the poems unfold. The book has lovely illustrations and is full of moral lessons. The introduction to "Chattering at School: Nature poems for children" explains that these poems were written by a schoolboy aged 11 to 18 (1951-58) during his annual summer holiday visits to his grandmother on her small farm in Ireland. She had been his carer and guardian from the time of the German Blitz of London where he was born, and lived with her until the war ended in 1945. He then returned to his unknown parents, who had been unable to visit him in Ireland from the UK during the war.Over 60 years later, the author of these poems - Edward Forde Hickey - discovered them (his own schoolboy attempts at writing poetry) lying in the attic and felt they were worth recording publicly.
