Sinopsis

In the closer-than-you-think Calendar Realm, there are 12 kingdoms—one for every month of the year. As sole heir to the fall-tastic kingdom of October, Eve Celt has always wanted to be as strong and balanced as her fierce parents. From embracing her powers of light and shadow, to fighting phantoms from the Ghost Dimension, she’s trained with a Vampire-hybrid coach her entire life to increase her magic and self-esteem so she can inherit the throne and live up to these expectations.Unfortunately, when the confident, charismatic son of a noble family overthrows her parents and turns her into a puppet princess, her world and the neighboring realm of Earth are thrust into danger. The support of her “monster” pals and friendly-ghost best friend won’t be enough to save the day. To reclaim her kingdom and keep darkness from overtaking October and other worlds, Eve must learn to save herself. With the help of a Ghost Hunting web series team in Seattle, and its engineer host holding his own mysterious past, Eve is in for an epic adventure across worlds as she discovers her own power and the true magic of Halloween.

Step into the poignant world of Hans Christian Andersen's timeless tale, The Little Match Girl. On a bitterly cold New Year's Eve, a young girl struggles to sell matches to passersby, hoping for warmth and solace. Desperately cold and alone, she lights her matches one by one, finding comfort in their fleeting warmth and the visions they bring—visions that take her away from the harsh realities of her world. This classic story touches the heart with its beautiful simplicity, conveying themes of hope, kindness, and the fragility of life.
Through the emotive narration of Dani Koshak, the listener is drawn deeper into the delicate balance between sorrow and hope that defines this tale. Koshak's narration brings the match girl's fleeting moments of warmth and happiness to life, allowing listeners to fully experience the magic and heartache of her final moments. The icy winter setting contrasts sharply with the warmth of the girl's dreams, making this a moving experience that captures both the hardship and beauty of Andersen's work.
Perfect for listeners of all ages, The Little Match Girl remains one of Andersen's most cherished and heart-wrenching stories. Whether you're revisiting this classic or discovering it for the first time, this audiobook is sure to evoke deep emotions and offer a touching reflection on compassion and the power of hope, even in the darkest of times.
