Sinopsis

The Summer My Sister Was Cleopatra Moon is an emotionally charged, cautionary tale about alienation and the spiritual deformity that ensues when it feels like the whole world hates you. In the summer of '76, with no other Koreans in Glover, Virginia, fourteen-year-old Marcy Moon idolizes her irreverent big sister Cleo, who has her pick of lovers and uses her sexuality to prevail against racism. In Marcy's eyes, every guy would cut off his ponytail, burn his guitar and shoot old ladies if you told him to. Her dream, a dangerous one, is to be like Cleo. Central to the story is the girls' inability to bond with their mom, who left her heart behind in North Korea and finds it difficult to love her daughters the way a mother should. Most heartbreaking is the sisters' love for their dad, a complicated and worldly man who wants to be the best father and provider, but, in the end, cannot escape his demons.

Their tumultuous relationship reflects the tensions between tradition and modernity, as well as the struggle for self-realization. Through rich symbolism and vivid imagery, Lawrence explores themes of desire, social class, and the search for meaning in a changing world. This early work showcases Lawrence's keen insight into human nature.

Buy her. Seduce her. Destroy her. That was the agenda.
But that was before I knew Trudy Potter. Before I tasted her, touched her. Before she reached into the darkness and made me smile for the first time in years. Before I fell like a star from the sky for her clever mind and incomparable heart.
Too bad we were doomed from the start. She’ll never forgive me for the lies I’ve told, and I can’t love a woman whose brother destroyed my family. I already know how this ends - in pain and chaos.
But I’ve underestimated my true enemy and how far he’s willing to go to ensure Trudy and I never live happily ever after.
Warning: Saving Sterling is the third installment in a three-book serial romance. It’s a dark, dirty, boundary-pushing romance that ends in a happily ever after.

24 hours in the airport. 24 hours to betray my husband.
An avalanche blocked the roads. Our ski trip has taken a bizarre, nasty turn.
It started on the plane. I sat in the middle of a college hockey team traveling for a photoshoot. The air was thick with their deep, vibrating voices. A musky scent flowed into my lungs…
I did something disgusting. I hope nobody noticed.
Now we’ve arrived, and we’re trapped at the airport. The hockey guys keep looking at me. One of them wants me to buy them dinner.
We have to spend the night here with them. I’m all jittery. My mind is filled with strange, uncomfortable thoughts.
I shouldn’t do this. I need to stay strong. I need to resist.
