Sinopsis

What is Mesh Generation

Mesh generation is the practice of creating a mesh, a subdivision of a continuous geometric space into discrete geometric and topological cells.Often these cells form a simplicial complex.Usually the cells partition the geometric input domain.Mesh cells are used as discrete local approximations of the larger domain. Meshes are created by computer algorithms, often with human guidance through a GUI, depending on the complexity of the domain and the type of mesh desired.A typical goal is to create a mesh that accurately captures the input domain geometry, with high-quality (well-shaped) cells, and without so many cells as to make subsequent calculations intractable. The mesh should also be fine in areas that are important for the subsequent calculations.

"John Lorinc’s incisive analysis in Dream States reminds us that the search for urban utopia is not new. Throughout the book, Lorinc underscores the fact that a gamut of urban innovations – from smart city megaprojects to e-government to pandemic preparedness tools – only provide promise when scrutinized together with the political, economic, social, and physical complexities of urban life." – Shauna Brail, University of Toronto

"Dream States: Smart Cities, Technology, and the Pursuit of Urban Utopias takes us on a fascinating journey across world cities to show how technology has shaped them in the past and how smart city technology will reshape them in the future. This book is essential reading for policy makers, researchers, and practitioners interested in understanding the opportunities and challenges of smart city technology and what it means for city building." – Enid Slack, University of Toronto School of Cities

"“Utopia may be the oldest grift in the city-building business, but Dream States shows that technology is a timeless tool for turning the most ordinary of urban dreams – clean air and water, safe streets, and decent homes – into reality. As digital dilettantes try to sell us on a software overhaul, John Lorinc provides us an indispensable and flawless guide to the must-haves and never-agains of the smart city.” – Anthony Townsend, Urbanist in Residence, Cornell Tech, author of Smart Cities

Fred Rogers was an international celebrity. He was a pioneer in children's television, an advocate for families, and a multimedia artist and performer. He wrote the television scripts and music, performed puppetry, sang, hosted, and directed Mister Rogers' Neighborhood for more than thirty years. Rogers' direct, slow, gentle, and empathic approach is supported by his superior emotional strength, his intellectual and creative courage, and his joyful spiritual confidence.

The Green Mister Rogers: Environmentalism in "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" centers on the show's environmentalism, primarily expressed through his themed week "Caring for the Environment," produced in 1990 in coordination with the twentieth anniversary of Earth Day. Unfolding against a trash catastrophe in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Rogers advances an environmentalism for children that secures children in their family homes while extending their perspective to faraway places, from the local recycling center to Florida’s coral reef. Ultimately, Rogers cultivates a practical wisdom that provides a way for children to confront the environmental crisis through action and hope and, in doing so, develop into adults who possess greater care for the environment and a capacious imagination for solving the ecological problems we face.

This premium collection was created for moments when rest must go deeper than sleep.Across 11 carefully designed tracks, sound becomes a quiet companion for a nervous system that has carried too much for too long. These frequencies are not meant to stimulate or distract. They invite the body into a state of profound safety, where tension dissolves layer by layer and the inner world gently reorganizes itself.***** 174 Hz supports grounding and physical ease. It feels like weight being released, like muscles remembering how to soften. A frequency often associated with stability, presence, and the sense of being held.***** 528 Hz carries a different quality. Open. Harmonizing. Subtly expansive. It supports emotional balance and inner coherence, creating space where exhaustion gives way to quiet renewal.Together, these frequencies form a sound environment designed for deep, uninterrupted sleep, allowing the nervous system to shift out of constant alertness and into a state of natural regulation. The mind slows. The body listens. Breathing deepens on its own.***** This collection is especially suited for people experiencing:•prolonged stress or emotional overload•burnout and deep fatigue•inner restlessness, tension, or mental overactivity•the need for safety, softness, and restoration during sleepEach track unfolds slowly, without abrupt changes, melodies, or stimulation. The sound design respects the intelligence of the body. Nothing is forced. Nothing demands attention. The experience works quietly in the background, where true rest begins.Night after night, these premium soundscapes support a sense of inner repair, helping the system recalibrate at its own pace. Sleep becomes more than recovery — it becomes a space of reconnection. This is not just a sleep collection. It is an invitation into deep rest, into calm that feels earned, into nights where the nervous system finally receives permission to let go.For those who feel everything deeply. For those who carry responsibility, intensity, and sensitivity. For those who understand that true healing sleep begins with safety.Let the frequencies work while you rest.

Journalist Marguerite Holloway arrives at the Women's Tree Climbing Workshop as a climbing novice, but with a passion for trees and a deep concern about their future. Run by twin sister tree doctors Bear LeVangie and Melissa LeVangie Ingersoll, the workshop helps people develop impressive technical skills and ascend into the canopy. As Holloway tackles unfamiliar equipment and dizzying heights, she learns about the science of trees and tells the stories of charismatic species, including hemlock, aspen, Atlantic white cedar, oak, and beech. She spotlights experts who are chronicling the great dying that is underway in forests around the world as trees face simultaneous and accelerating threats from drought, heat, floods, disease, and other disruptions.

As she climbs, Holloway also comes to understand the profound significance of trees in her relationship with her late mother and brother. The book's rousing final chapter offers something new: a grander environmental and arboreal optimism, in which the story of trees and their resilience meshes with that of people working to steward the forests of the future, and of community found among fellow tree climbers. A lyrical work of memoir and reportage, Take to the Trees sounds the alarm about rapid arboreal decline while also offering hope about how we might care for our forests and ourselves.

A Momentous Change Is Upon UsIn his groundbreaking book, The Biology of Belief, Dr. Bruce Lipton outlined the evidence that our thoughts are just as important as our genes in controlling our health and evolution. As the emerging science of epigenetics shows, our beliefs and choices can control our biology down to a cellular level. According to Dr. Lipton, this startling scientific insight suggests a major evolutionary shift for the human species is on the horizon. With The Spontaneous Evolution Experience, he reveals how the forces of history—including dangerous trends like climate change and overpopulation—are creating the conditions for a transformation so profound that we could soon become an entirely new species. As Dr. Lipton explains, “Just as a terminally ill patient can have a ‘spontaneous remission,’ usually following a major life change or change in beliefs, I believe that human society is now on the verge of a similar evolutionary healing on a global scale.” Over the course of three fascinating audio sessions, Dr. Lipton examines the beliefs that have brought us to this precarious time—and what new beliefs will give humanity the chance to overcome the obstacles of today. Join this pioneering biologist as he presents a bold and hopeful vision of the next, “holistic” stage of human civilization—and what each of us can do to fully participate as co-creators of the world to come.
