  If you want to understand Ancient Egypt, you must demystify the concept of the Scarab and its subsequent symbolism. When we first meet the Scarab symbol in Egypt; itwe immediately see it was the symbol and tangible expression of an elevated religious idea, embracing that of future life, of the human soul, a resurrection of it, and most likely, a reward or scorning of it in the future life, based on its conduct in the terrestrial life. This concept cannot be underestimated. The ancient Egyptians were heavily involved in symbolism, which they fused into their Art; the Scarab symbolism was the most powerful of it all. 
  Scarab, in Latin, scarabaeus, forms the backbone of early ancient Egyptian religion. This symbol is specifically of the dung beetle (Scarabaeus sacer), which lays its eggs in dung balls fashioned through the rolling. This beetle was associated with the divine manifestation of the early morning sun, Khepri, whose Name was written with the scarab hieroglyph and who was believed to roll the disk of the morning sun over the eastern horizon at daybreak. Since the scarab hieroglyph, Kheper, refers variously to the ideas of existence, manifestation, development, growth, and effectiveness, the beetle itself was a favorite form used for amulets in all periods of Egyptian history.

  Environmental conservation has long been portrayed as a noble and essential pursuit—one aimed at safeguarding the planet's ecosystems and securing a sustainable future.   The shocking reality is that many conservation efforts, though well-intentioned, have been ineffective or even counterproductive. Corporate interests, government policies, and misleading claims about “green” products have created an illusion of progress while exacerbating the very problems they are supposed to address. Major corporations, under the guise of corporate social responsibility, engage in environmental degradation on an unprecedented scale, often using conservation as a marketing tool to distract from their harmful practices. In parallel, governments, despite claiming to prioritize environmental issues, often fall short in enacting meaningful change due to political and economic pressures. 
    
  Furthermore, the term "conservation" itself is often misused, with projects that promise to restore ecosystems sometimes masking the exploitation of natural resources. While wildlife preservation and habitat restoration are vital components of environmental protection, they are frequently treated as standalone solutions that fail to address the root causes of environmental destruction, such as overconsumption and industrial pollution.

  From the “Trail of Tears” to Wounded Knee and Little Bighorn, the narrative of American history is incomplete without the inclusion of the Native Americans that lived on the continent before European settlers arrived in the 16th and 17th centuries. Since the first contact between natives and settlers, tribes like the Sioux, Cherokee, and Navajo have both fascinated and perplexed outsiders with their history, language, and culture.  
  The Shoshone are still remembered for their assistance, especially Sacagawea, and they maintained contact with Americans throughout the 19th century, but unfortunately, the cooperation gave way to conflict as white settlers began to move westward and enter onto lands occupied by the Shoshone.  
  	On the morning of November 29, 1864, Colonel John Chivington led 700 militiamen in a surprise attack against Cheyenne leader Black Kettle's camp at Sand Creek. Chivington was a fire and brimstone Methodist minister who had publicly advocated indiscriminately killing Native American children because “nits makes lice.” According to Cheyenne oral tradition and several surviving soldiers' accounts, as soon as Black Kettle saw Chivington’s men coming, he raised an American flag on a pole and waved it back and forth calling out that his Wutapai band was not resisting. Ignoring his cries for mercy, the soldiers commenced firing, cutting down an estimated 70-200 Cheyenne, about two-thirds of whom were women and children.  
  	Among all the events in the strained relations between the U.S. government and Native Americans during the 19th century, the most notorious and defining one was what is today called the Wounded Knee Massacre. Technically, it was the last armed engagement between Sioux warriors and the U.S. military, and it marked the end of effective resistance by any Sioux bands, but what actually occurred is far more controversial.

  Purgatorio (Italian: [purɡaˈtɔːrjo]; Italian for "Purgatory") is the second part of Dante's Divine Comedy, following the Inferno, and preceding the Paradiso. The poem was written in the early 14th century. It is an allegory telling of the climb of Dante up the Mount of Purgatory, guided by the Roman poet Virgil, except for the last four cantos at which point Beatrice takes over as Dante's guide.Purgatory in the poem is depicted as a mountain in the Southern Hemisphere, consisting of a bottom section (Ante-Purgatory), seven levels of suffering and spiritual growth (associated with the seven deadly sins), and finally the Earthly Paradise at the top. Allegorically, the Purgatorio represents the penitent Christian life. In describing the climb Dante discusses the nature of sin, examples of vice and virtue, as well as moral issues in politics and in the Church. The poem outlines a theory that all sins arise from love – either perverted love directed towards others' harm, or deficient love, or the disordered or excessive love of good things.
