Sinopsis

Torn Pages is about walking away and starting over while embracing who you are. Many have lost touch with what's important. The Process of love is never easy after two people have given of themselves. What will it take just to let someone else in? I hope these poems will allow you to move past your pain.

I find it very hard to classify "The New York Idea" under any of the established rubrics. It is rather too extravagant to rank as a comedy; it is much too serious in its purport, too searching in its character-delineation and too thoughtful in its wit, to be treated as a mere farce. Its title—not, perhaps, a very happy one—is explained in this saying of one of the characters: "Marry for whim and leave the rest to the divorce court—that's the New York idea of marriage." Like all the plays, from Sardou's "Divorçons" onward, which deal with a too facile system of divorce, this one shows a discontented woman, who has broken up her home for a caprice, suffering agonies of jealousy when her ex-husband proposes to make use of the freedom she has given him, and returning to him at last with the admission that their divorce was at least "premature." In this central conception there is nothing particularly original. It is the wealth of humourous invention displayed in the details both of character and situation that renders the play remarkable. This book contains verse for young and old. It is full of fantastic stories, breathtaking images, and brilliant rhymes. Including classics from "The Duel" to "The Delectable Ballad of Walter Lot," the author, a devout Christian, keeps his religious overtones to a minimum. When listening, please keep in mind that the text was originally written in the 1800s. -- Summary by Squid Varilekova

Unabridged version with stage directions! With Macbeth, William Shakespeare created one of the most powerful tragedies in world literature—a dark and gripping exploration of ambition, guilt, and the corrupting force of power. This unabridged audiobook presents the play in its complete original form, including all stage directions, with each character clearly announced before their lines—performed by a single narrator who brings clarity and cohesion to the drama. At the heart of the play is Macbeth, a Scottish general whose encounter with three mysterious witches awakens a dangerous ambition: to become king. Urged on by the equally determined Lady Macbeth, he kills the king and seizes the crown. Yet victory quickly turns to torment. Haunted by guilt and driven by fear, Macbeth descends into paranoia and violence, while Lady Macbeth is consumed by her own unraveling conscience. What begins as a prophecy becomes a relentless spiral toward destruction. In this complete reading, Shakespeare's language unfolds with full intensity. The inclusion of stage directions allows listeners to visualize the action, while the clear identification of characters enhances understanding and dramatic flow—making this a uniquely immersive listening experience. William Shakespeare was born in 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon and is widely regarded as the greatest playwright in the English language. His works—spanning tragedies, comedies, and histories—explore the depths of human nature with unmatched insight and poetic brilliance. This unabridged audiobook of Macbeth offers a complete and compelling encounter with Shakespeare's tragic vision—intense, atmospheric, and timeless.

Nostromo, written by Joseph Conrad and published in 1904, is set in the fictional South American country of Costaguana, particularly in the port city of Sulaco. The novel explores themes of imperialism, capitalism, and the moral dilemmas faced by its characters amid political turmoil. The story revolves around Charles Gould, a Costaguanero of English descent who owns a silver mine. Disillusioned by the political instability in Costaguana, Gould supports the dictatorship of President Ribiera, hoping to bring order to the region. However, the wealth generated by the mine attracts the attention of revolutionaries, leading to chaos as General Montero's forces invade Sulaco.
