Sinopse

Sequel to Gentlemen's Agreement

At the start of 1816, Luc Gerrard is summoned home to rural Essex from his sanctuary in the West Indies due to a dangerous downturn in his mother's health. When she recovers, Luc is determined to pick up his musical employment in London's theatres, concert halls and ballrooms.

He receives support and even friendship from a surprising source, the circle of gentlemen who spirited him away from certain arrest due to his connection with his former lover and Napoleonic plotter, James Beaufort.

Luc juggles his pride and finances while attempting to gain an orchestral position at Drury Lane Theatre for the upcoming spring Season. Bittersweet memories are revived when he inevitably meets his longtime companion and sometime lover, Harry Kent. However, charming, easy-going casual Harry seems changed by Luc's absence.

Can Luc re-establish his interrupted career with a little help from his new friends? And might he and Harry find a lasting connection?

In 1605, King James I sat on the thrones of England and Scotland. A group of men, led by Robert Catesby, planned to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London to kill King James, Queen Anne, their children, and all the lords of England. The plotters were Catholics in a time when, at best, Catholics were fined into poverty, and at worst, they were burned at the stake.

William Cranmore is one of those men. Lark Alleyne, who started his working life at court, has been recruited as a spy and is put under the direction of Cranmore, who is to teach him the sword as well as the craft of spying. During the course of their work, Cranmore, a man who has never loved anyone, falls deeply in love with the sweet natured, overtly loving younger man.

Can William and Lark foil the Gunpowder Plot before the king and his family are murdered?

Once a literary bad boy, Professor Sebastian Swift now confines himself to teaching poetry at a quiet Maine college—and trying not to self-destruct.
When one of his most gifted students turns up bruised, frightened, and implicated in the murder of his powerful father, Swift makes a choice that could cost him everything: he helps the boy disappear.
Unfortunately, Swift’s lover—Stone Coast Police Chief Max Prescott—is leading the investigation.
Convinced his student is being framed, Swift retreats to his family’s isolated island bungalow to track him down and uncover the truth. But on a windswept shore where the past lingers like sea mist and loyalties blur as easily as footprints in sand, Swift begins to realize he may have misjudged more than just the case.
As suspicion deepens and the body count threatens to rise, Swift must decide how far he’s willing to go to protect someone he believes in—and whether his relationship with Max can survive one more act of reckless faith.
Because love, like poetry, is rarely simple.
And sometimes the wrong choice is the only one that feels right.

A new year always teases new beginnings. Except for Jimmy McSwain, who, as the calendar turns, is about to come face to face with a person from his past. Bringing with him a case that will challenge the delicate line between guilt and innocence.
Jake Sauter and Jimmy were best friends growing up and shared an intimacy few knew about. When Jake appears after years of silence, he's come not to rekindle their relationship but to hire the private investigator to save him from the jaws of the law. He claims he's about to be arrested—for the murder of his wife.
Meanwhile, the NYPD is facing a case that is spreading fear throughout New York City. A body had been found floating in the Hudson River, and Captain Francis X. Frisano has been called to solve the crime. A sudden development throws both of their cases into one.
