  This fourth story in the series I have written is summarized below; 
  As the Martian revolt reaches its climax, Dr. Lin Mei witnesses humanity's desperate last stand at Outpost Alpha. Crystalline warships emerge from Mars' soil, dismantling human defenses with terrifying precision. General Drake's military forces are crushed at Olympus Mons, while Martian weapons systematically destroy terraforming equipment across the planet. When Martians breach the command center, their leader delivers an ultimatum through fractured translations: "Leave or perish." Drake insists on fighting, but Lin negotiates a fragile truce—humanity will abandon Mars in exchange for safe passage. As evacuation orders spread, the Martians reveal their planet's wounded ecosystems through holograms, forcing humans to confront their destructive colonization. In the shadow of crystalline armadas, Lin broadcasts the retreat, acknowledging Mars was never humanity's to claim. The uprising ends not with annihilation but a bitter lesson: coexistence requires respect, not conquest. As ships lift off, Lin glimpses a future where humans may return—not as conquerors, but as humble guests to a civilization far older than their own.  
  I do hope you enjoy this fourth instalment, and its only $3. 
  the initial opening credit music which does run to approximately 2 plus minutes sets the scene, so to speak, this is heavy metal first but give it a chance and you will be surprised (I felt the martian beings would be extremely angry over humans trying to steal their planet hence the sound) ends with a warning sound music track like an alarm as the next episode will see them emerge to do battle, 1 minutes plus.  
  The book itself runs to about 15 minutes and is narrated in my own voice.

  Before the Fact by Zenna Henderson - Renwick, with too much time on his hands, was bored. He turned to Mead, in his discontent, only to discover some frightening aspects of his friend’s hobby of collecting children’s games and rhymes. 
  Zenna Henderson was born in 1917 in Tucson, Arizona and began reading science fiction when she was 12. She graduated from Arizona State College, now Arizona State University, in 1940 and taught school, primarily in Tucson, mainly first grade. Zenna is one of 203 women recognized in the book “Partners in wonder : women and the birth of science fiction” who wrote stories that were published in US Science Fiction Magazines from 1926 to 1965. 
  Her debut science fiction short story appeared in 1951, marking the beginning of a prolific career that saw over 60 of her works featured in pulp sci-fi magazines. The 1972 ABC TV movie of the week The People starring William Shatner and Kim Darby is based on the Zenna Henderson story Pottage. You can watch The People on YouTube.
