Sinopse

This work is a collection of simple but well thought out poems, rhythms and rhymes with the purpose of influencing a positive change. It reflects the world view of life bordering enthusiasm, indecision, oppression, success, failure on oneself and others as products of the type of decisions individuals or groups may make.
Life can be simply easy or complex and frustrating at different times but not both at the same time. And this depends on our decisions to face it with the smile of a child, living in the now and looking toward the future.

Henry IV by Luigi Pirandello is a haunting and intellectually charged drama that probes the fragile boundaries between madness and sanity, illusion and truth, performance and reality. First staged in the early 20th century, this powerful play stands as one of Pirandello's most profound explorations of identity and the masks imposed by society.

The story centers on a wealthy nobleman who, after a fall from his horse during a historical pageant, becomes convinced that he is the medieval German emperor Henry IV. For years, he lives in a carefully constructed illusion, surrounded by servants and attendants who sustain his belief by reenacting life in an 11th-century court. What begins as apparent madness soon unfolds into something far more complex. When old acquaintances visit in an attempt to cure him, long-buried tensions and hidden truths emerge, revealing that the line between delusion and reality may not be as clear as it seems.

Pirandello masterfully transforms a seemingly simple premise into a deeply philosophical inquiry. Is the protagonist truly insane, or has he chosen his "madness" as a refuge from the pain and hypocrisy of the modern world? As the drama unfolds, layers of pretense are stripped away, exposing the roles each character plays—not only on the staged medieval court but in their own lives.

Through sharp dialogue and psychological intensity, Henry IV challenges audiences to reconsider what defines reality. If society itself is built upon conventions and performances, can one form of illusion be more authentic than another? Pirandello suggests that identity is not fixed but constructed, shaped by memory, perception, and the expectations of others.

The play's tension builds steadily toward a dramatic climax that underscores the tragic consequences of living between worlds—caught in the space where imagination and truth collide. Both intimate and intellectually daring, Henry IV combines emotional depth with philosophical complexity, reflecting Pirandello's enduring fascination with the instability of the self.

A landmark of modern theatre, Henry IV continues to captivate readers and audiences with its penetrating insight into the human condition. Through its exploration of madness, choice, and the roles we inhabit, the play remains a timeless meditation on the masks we wear—and the truths we may fear to face.

This audiobook is narrated by an AI Voice.
Alaa was a boy who grew up in the countryside. He never knew a mother’s warmth since he was an infant, but he was raised by a noble and wise man who made him happy despite their poverty. However, this man grew old and became bedridden, forcing the boy and his brothers to carry the burdens of life at an early age.
In this story, Alaa did not turn to a magic lamp that grants wishes or a wondrous flying carpet. Instead, he turned to something better: the Gracious Lord and a sincere heart. For if a lamp or a carpet can be stolen, a beautiful heart can never be taken away.
In this part of the novel, we focused on the hero drawing strength from reason and wisdom. This is not because fantasy or wonders are bad, but because we wanted to achieve the greatest intellectual and moral benefit that can inspire us in real life. As Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal said: "How much people need a truthful storyteller."
Everyone loves entertainment and may tire of direct education, so what if we scattered lessons between the lines of suspense?
I wrote this story a few years ago while I was herding sheep, and guidance was close to my heart. So, I freed my pen to draw something that would make me happy. In the end, I was amazed by the result and wanted to share this work, which my family and friends admired. If you want to enter my world and learn more about Alaa, please share your opinion with me—it is very important and means a lot to me.

Gitanjali is a collection of 103 poems in English, largely translations by the Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore. This volume became very famous in the West, and was widely translated into other languages. In England a slender volume was published in 1913, with an exhilarating preface by W. B. Yeats. In the same year, Rabindranath became the first non-European to win the Nobel prize. (summary by Hilara)"On many an idle day have I grieved over lost time. But it is never lost, my lord. Thou hast taken every moment of my life in thine own hands.Hidden in the heart of things thou art nourishing seeds into sprouts, buds into blossoms, and ripening flowers into fruitfulness.I was tired and sleeping on my idle bed and imagined all work had ceased. In the morning I woke up and found my garden full with wonders of flowers." 81, Gitanjali
