Sinopsis

You Go, Girl! is a fictional tale based on real-life experiences. It offers a nostalgic glimpse of growing up in 1959 and centers on heartwarming stories about a grandmother's past and her granddaughter's present. 
During a week-long visit, twelve-year-old Suzie agrees to read her grandmother Elaine's journal from 1959, curious about life in the "old days" before cell phones and social media. As Suzie delves into the journal, she peppers Elaine with questions about the restrictions imposed on girls in the past, sparking discussions about gender norms and empowerment. 
Through their shared stories, secrets are unveiled and a deeper bond between generations emerges. Suzie learns valuable lessons on facing bullies and fighting for gender equality, inspired by her grandmother's resilience and spirit. 
As the week comes to an end and Suzie prepares to return home, both she and Elaine are transformed by their time together, forever changed by the revelations and connections forged across generations.
