Sinopse

With the Nazi invasion of Hungary underway, the German army was determined to round up as many Jews as they could and place them into concentration camps. “A Doctor in Auschwitz” is a harrowing tale of survival. It follows one Jewish doctor who was spared and forced to perform experiments on his fellow prisoners. This is a first-hand account of his often brutal assignments, sparing no details.

This book consists of the following two titles:
    - Oneiric Omnipotence: Dreams have long been a source of fascination, wonder, and mystery. From ancient civilizations to modern psychology, dreams have been viewed as gateways to hidden realms of consciousness, offering profound insight into our minds, emotions, and even our futures. In this book, we explore the concept of "Oneiric Omnipotence" — the untapped, infinite potential that lies within our dreams, waiting to be harnessed. Dreams are not merely random, nonsensical sequences; they are powerful tools that can be consciously shaped and used to unlock the vast reserves of our mind's creative and transformative capabilities.
    - Sound's Fury Unleashed: Throughout history, humankind has marveled at the natural world, from the majesty of towering mountains to the depths of the oceans. Yet, some phenomena defy explanation, remaining elusive and enigmatic. One such phenomenon is the sonic anomaly known as Sound's Fury—a violent, inexplicable burst of sound that seems to break all the rules of nature. Its origins, causes, and implications have puzzled scientists, captivated the public, and left a trail of unanswered questions. This book delves deep into the sonic enigma, exploring its mystery and the far-reaching impact it has had on the world.

In Pollution Is Colonialism Max Liboiron presents a framework for understanding scientific research methods as practices that can align with or against colonialism. They point out that even when researchers are working toward benevolent goals, environmental science and activism are often premised on a colonial worldview and access to land. Focusing on plastic pollution, the book models an anticolonial scientific practice aligned with Indigenous, particularly Métis, concepts of land, ethics, and relations. Liboiron draws on their work in the Civic Laboratory for Environmental Action Research (CLEAR)—an anticolonial science laboratory in Newfoundland, Canada—to illuminate how pollution is not a symptom of capitalism but a violent enactment of colonial land relations that claim access to Indigenous land. Liboiron's creative, lively, and passionate text refuses theories of pollution that make Indigenous land available for settler and colonial goals. In this way, their methodology demonstrates that anticolonial science is not only possible but is currently being practiced in ways that enact more ethical modes of being in the world.

Break Free From What Holds You Back
Ever felt trapped by your own mind? Like your thoughts are quicksand pulling you deeper the more you struggle? You're not alone.
This audiobook speaks to anyone who knows what it's like when anxiety takes the wheel or when memories hijack your peace. It's for people who've tried "just thinking positive" and found it doesn't touch the real issues.
    What you'll get:
    •	Real talk about a therapy approach that doesn't promise to eliminate your difficult thoughts, but shows you something better - how to live fully even with them
    •	A straightforward way to figure out what actually matters to you (not what you think should matter)
    •	Specific help for OCD and PTSD that goes beyond the standard advice
    •	Simple practices you can actually fit into your life
    Who needs this:
    •	If you're tired of being ruled by "what if" thoughts that spiral out of control
    •	If traumatic experiences still color your world years later
    •	If you've built your life around avoiding discomfort, only to find your world getting smaller
    •	If therapy has helped but you want tools for the spaces between sessions
    •	If you work in mental health and want fresh perspectives for your clients
The techniques shared here come from real clinical work with real people. They're explained in everyday language with examples that might make you think, "that's exactly how it feels."
Listen while driving, doing dishes, or before sleep. The beauty of these approaches is they don't require perfect focus or hours of meditation. Small shifts add up. Little moments of awareness create space for change.
This audiobook doesn't promise to fix you, because you're not broken. It offers a way to stop fighting yourself and start moving toward the life you want - even with uncertainty, even with difficult feelings, even with an imperfect mind.

Explore the remarkable life and heartfelt verse of the Rev. Dr. James A. Forbes Jr., the first Black senior minister at Riverside Church in New York City, one of the largest multicultural congregations in the US.

As the first Black senior minister at Riverside Church in New York City, James A. Forbes Jr. shattered barriers of Black leadership in mainline Christian denominations. Through his powerful sermons, Forbes brought the rich preaching styles of the African American church to white pulpits, leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of progressive Christianity.

Veracity and Verse provides a chronology of Forbes's life in his own words, detailing his journey through discrimination and rejection to become a revered professor at Union Theological Seminary, ultimately called to the prestigious pulpit of Riverside Church, where he served for eighteen years. Through Forbes's own poems and narratives, readers will be immersed in the triumphant story of his life—from the struggles of the segregated South to his ascent to the greatest liberal Christian pulpit in the world. Veracity and Verse is a testament to the resilience, faith, and enduring impact of an extraordinary individual.

The original "Yoga Secrets of Patanjali" are in themselves exceedingly brief, less than 10 pages in the original ancient texts. Yet, as they are based upon the great, timeless Bhagavad Gita, they contain the essence of all practical wisdom, set forth in admirable order and great detail. This timeless theme brings forth a palpable spiritual regeneration, the rebirth of the spiritual from the psychical: the same sacred theme that the realized yogis of India so wisely and eloquently set forth over 5,000 years ago.

Vyasa is the legendary Indian sage who is credited with compiling the Mahabharata, a collection of legendary and didactic poetry worked around a central heroic narrative. In India his birthday is celebrated as Guru Purnima, on Shukla Purnima day in the month of Ashadha (June–July).
Vyasa was the son of the ascetic Parashara and the dasyu (aboriginal) princess Satyavati and grew up in forests, living with hermits who taught him the Vedas. Thereafter he lived in the forests near the banks of the river Sarasvati, becoming a teacher and a priest, fathering a son and disciple, Shuka, and gathering a large group of disciples. Late in life, living in caves in the Himalayas, he is said to have divided the Vedas into the four traditional collections, composed Puranas, and, in a period of two and a half years, composed his great poetic work, the Mahabharata, supposedly dictating it to his scribe, Ganesha, the elephant god.

Perfect for all students of the eight-fold yoga path, curious commuters, and all library and school collections. A once-in-a-lifetime audio experience event. Perfect for universities and digital educational media.
