What readers are saying about the Redneck Apocalypse series:
"If these two boys are God’s chosen warriors, then it might just be time for humanity to bow out of the fight."
—James Hunter, author of Strange Magic
"When I think back on the book, I think first of the vulnerability and grief of the main characters, each damaged in their own way, for their own reasons. I think of the violent desperation the whole thing reeks of, this balance of fragility and darkness that keeps bubbling up between the lines."
~Tim McBain, co-author of the Awake in the Dark series
"I have rarely had the pleasure of reading anything this weird and wonderful. If Douglas Adams were to write horror I think this is close to what would happen." ~Nancy Parker
"I love Tough. He is this incredibly flawed anti-hero who is constantly struggling with... well, everything. His hometown of Halo has been his own personal Hell for years and it seems that he will never take a trick. But as flawed as he is, he is above all a fighter. He wants to survive, he doesn't want to give up (even when he thinks he does)." ~Mikhaeyla K, Booklikes
"This book was super hard to put down. I’m pretty sure my kids had to pry it from my hands in order for me to make dinner. [...] It's a crazy page turning thrill ride." ~The Reading Chameleon
"Tough might be my favorite character ever. I loved everything about him." ~Charlotte Cyprus, author of Kiss of the Fey
"Hudson nails down the frenetic 20-something vibe, and the setting is undeniably rural and southern [...] Pain, violence and anguish are as deftly delineated as new love, foolish hope and stupid stubbornness." ~Michael McClung, author of the Amra Thetys series

Unlike many of Lovecraft's other tales, "The White Ship" does not expressly tie into the popularized Cthulhu Mythos. However, the story cannot be entirely excluded from Mythos continuity either, since it makes reference to preternatural, godlike beings. The tone and temperament of "The White Ship" speaks largely of the Dream Cycle literary structure that Lovecraft utilized in other stories such as The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath (1926) and "The Cats of Ulthar" (1920).
In this story, a lighthouse keeper named Basil Elton engages upon a peculiar fantasy in which a robed, bearded man is piloting a mystical white ship which appears when the moon is full. Elton walks out across the water on a bridge of moonbeams and joins the bearded man on this ship, and together they explore a mystical chain of islands unlike anything that can be found on Earth. They travel past Zar, a green land where "dwell all the dreams and thoughts of beauty that come to men once and then are forgotten", then the majestic city of Thalarion, "City of a Thousand Wonders", where dwell frightful demons. They pass Akariel, the huge carven gate of Thalarion, and continue their voyage. Elton is informed that those who enter both places have never returned. During the voyage they seem to be following an azure celestial bird. They also pass Xura, the "Land of Pleasures Unattained", which seems pleasant from a distance but reeks of plague upon getting nearer. They finally settle in Sona-Nyl, the "Land of Fancy",

High in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco lies hidden the most ancient of artifacts; a long-lost antiquity sought after by kings and caliphs throughout the ages. It is believed to be a container of knowledge; a holy vessel capable of freeing its user from the confines of earthly mortality.
Strange events lead archaeologist, Gabriel Parker to the relic, and to the only person on earth who can help him unravel its mysteries. Dr. Natasha Rossi had always believed in the supernatural, but never more so until now. Demonic forces have somehow arisen with the discovery of the artifact. Their emergence marks the arrival of a great apocalypse spoken of in an obscure medieval legend.
With only a tattered journal to guide them, Gabriel and Natasha race to decrypt the relic's secrets before it's too late. A cosmic clock is ticking, and the fate of humanity is at stake. To make matters worse, the leader of a powerful shadow organization is trying to stop them. The artifact's appearance threatens the fulfillment of an age-old agenda, and he will level nations in order to destroy it.
A dark shadow is spreading across the world, and humanity's fate hangs on the balance.

A fantasy classic by the author of The House with a Clock in Its Walls—basis for the Jack Black movie—and "a writer who knows what wizardry is all about" (Ursula K. Le Guin).
A richly imaginative story of wizards stymied by a power beyond their control, A Face in the Frost combines the thrills of a horror novel with the inventiveness of fairy tale–inspired fantasy.
Prospero, a tall, skinny misfit of a wizard, lives in the South Kingdom—a patchwork of feuding duchies and small manors, all loosely loyal to one figurehead king. Along with his necromancer friend Roger Bacon, who has been on a quest to find a mysterious book, Prospero must flee his home to escape ominous pursuers. Thus begins an adventure that will lead him to a grove where his old rival, Melichus, is falsely rumored to be buried and to a less-than-hospitable inn in the town of Five Dials—and ultimately into a dangerous battle with origins in a magical glass paperweight.
With a unique blend of humor and darkness, it remains one of the most beloved tales by the Edgar Award–nominated author also known for the long-running Lewis Barnavelt series.

Starring Jessica Martin as Mina HarkerIn writing Dracula, Bram Stoker created a universe full of rich characters, dark and foreboding locations, and a tangled web of loyalties, relationships and motivations. Despite the story being fictional -at least one hopes that’s the case - many elements within the story were reflections and analogies of the Stoker family and their history.A little over 120 years after the book’s original release, Bram’s great-grandnephew Dacre Stoker has teamed up with author Chris McAuley to create a series of short stories set within the StokerVerse, each narrated from the point of view of one of the characters we all know - or think we know - so well.In this episode, Mina discovers her troubled husband Jonathan’s diary. What secrets will she find within, and will her life ever be the same again? If you’re a fan of vampires - particularly those of a more gothic nature - then these brand-new adventures will surely appeal to you. With Dacre Stoker’s major contribution, these stories are the most significant addition to the official Dracula canon since Francis Ford Coppola’s 1992 film Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
