Sinopse

"Respect At Work" offers a comprehensive guide to cultivating respectful communication, essential for thriving teams and organizations. The book addresses conflict de-escalation and building team rapport, highlighting their impact on employee well-being and organizational success. It underscores that respect isn't just politeness but a necessity, as its absence can breed negativity and undermine teamwork.

Did you know that fostering respect proactively minimizes conflict and promotes belonging? Or that diverse perspectives, managed respectfully, enhance team cohesion?

Having flown an astonishing 400 different aircraft, as a licensed Category 1 test pilot and flight test instructor for both airplanes and helicopters, Chris Taylor is arguably one of the best qualified and widely experienced test pilots working today anywhere in the world.

After obtaining his private pilot’s license at the age of 17, Chris began his service flying career with the Royal Navy. He flew Wasp and Lynx helicopters from warships around the world under all kinds of circumstances.

After five years instructing, he then became a test pilot flying numerous types of experimental aircraft for research and development purposes, before returning to the Empire Test Pilot’s School as a tutor. Having served at Boscombe Down for 10 years, he joined the UK’s Civil Aviation Authority as an airplane and rotorcraft test pilot. With the closure of the CAA’s Flight Test Department, he went on to form his own company and has continued to test fly a wide variety of aircraft ever since.

Rather than the usual cutting-edge fast jets one associates with test pilots, Chris Taylor’s book covers general aviation aircraft, including testing homebuilt airplanes, helicopters and autogyros. It also features the testing of ex-military jets and warbirds such as the Fieseler Storch, Sea Fury, Spitfire and the Mustang.

As the author is someone who teaches test pilots how to become flight test instructors, the reader is privileged to be able to share in the ups and downs of aviation testing with one of the foremost test pilots of his era. Somehow, he still manages to find time to be a helicopter examiner and instructor for helicopters, airplanes and autogyros.

While Test Pilot will appeal to pilots of every era, it is aimed at the general reader who will be taken on a journey across the skies in almost every conceivable type of civil aircraft involving almost every imaginable flying incident.

Generative AI and the remote-work revolution show us every day that we're in a new era. The rules and norms have changed—and so must leadership.

And yet, coercive bureaucracy, hierarchy, and control—old ways of thinking and working—are still with us, a deep-seated and powerful legacy. We are living through a profound transition from an old, industrial era to a new one that is digital, transparent, and complex. In Leading Through, the dynamic struggle between two competing paradigms of leadership is compellingly illustrated: an old paradigm that involves control and power over people versus a new one that enables and inspires power through people.

With rich examples and stories, the authors show how deeply ingrained the legacy model of leadership remains and how destructive it is, causing waste and loss of human potential, stifling innovation, and ultimately resulting in what the authors call "organizational darkness." They go on to articulate a new, positive model, one that consciously seeks to do good and to make things better; that cares for people, helping them to thrive; and that mobilizes people to solve tough problems. These three elements, they argue, are the soul, heart, and mind of leadership, and activating them requires careful attention to both the personal and the organizational dimensions of leadership.

Go to Customer is a field guide for enterprise account teams tired of the manual work of account research and planning, the lack of systems and support for account expansion, and product-driven content that doesn’t align with customer needs. The core idea is simple: Flip the flow.
Stop selling at customers and start building around what they need and are actively funding. When you work backward from customers’ priorities, you turn those priorities into bigger, faster wins.
What you’re missing isn’t effort; it’s a system that shows you the customer clearly. CRMs track what you want to sell. This book teaches you to uncover the invisible pipelineof unmet needs inside your existing accounts—then to align capabilities, resources, and value with those needs.
What you get is a repeatable playbook to sell what’s possible—made real through concrete habits you can run every day:Leverage pre-intent signals to gain early access and be relevant when challenges first arise.Use Bluespace (customer challenge × buying center) to spot real opportunities early.Master relationship rhythms to move from vendor to strategic partner.Stop chasing leads, uncover needs, and align solutions with the outcomes customers actually invest in.Replace static quarterly reviews with up-to-the-moment dynamic account planning.Structure teams around who customers value.Put a commercial insight strategist to work so your team shows up informed—with the right story, for the right stakeholders, at the right moment.
If you lead or work on enterprise accounts, here’s the promise: more relevance, less wasted time, larger deal sizes, and more resilient relationships. Because in today’s market, if you aren’t growing an account, you’re losing it—and this is how you grow.
