Sinopsis

Frequency Wave Science explores the physics that enables wireless communication and countless modern technologies. It delves into the world of electromagnetic radiation, explaining how radio frequencies facilitate the transmission of information across distances. Did you know that different frequency bands have unique characteristics, making them suitable for various applications, from long-range radio broadcasts to high-bandwidth data transmission? The book emphasizes the critical importance of understanding frequency-dependent behavior for optimizing wireless systems.

Beginning with electromagnetic theory, the book examines wave mechanics and electromagnetism, then systematically explores radio waves, microwaves, and millimeter waves. It investigates the growing importance of millimeter waves in 5G and beyond, including challenges and technological advancements, and discusses the impact of electromagnetic radiation on various materials, including health and safety considerations.

Presenting information in a clear and accessible style, the book bridges physics with engineering, telecommunications, and computer science.

What is a meteor or meteorite? A meteor is a small body of matter apparently from outer space that upon entering the Earth’s atmosphere resembles a streak of light, what we normally call falling stars. A meteorite is one of these that successfully hits the ground and sometimes other things, including people, buildings and animals!
Until 1803 most scientists regarded falls of meteorites as absurd and fantastical. As well as impossible. This was until the massive fall onto L’Aigle in France of thousands of meteorites on April 23rd 1803. Previously on November 11th 1799 there had also been a massive meteor shower comprising thousands of meteors that was seen all over the Earth. This is now known to be the Leonid meteors whose falls have diminished since. The Leonids come around every November, usually near the beginning of the month. Funny how this is a peak period for UFO sightings! That was accepted meteorites. Then you have such things as Black Comets. Black comets are extinct cometary nuclei which no longer create outgassing. No tail is visible. They are black and difficult to see in space unless they are passing celestial bodies. Even these seem apparently normal when you look at everything that has come crashing down, sometimes heavily and sometimes lightly, from the skies. Amongst the true meteorites and possible fragment of black comets, and possibly even antimatter, and even large blocks of ice, what then are the rest of these? That the majority of UFO sightings might actually be misidentified meteoric or cometary bodies. The list of incidents from the sky including numerous near misses. Are they meteors, comets or UFOs or a combination or misinterpretation of all of the above?

    What should you do?
This case and the others in the series come from the real-world experiences of a group of Scrum professionals who meet regularly to discuss the Scrum Framework and how to apply it to actual situations they have encountered. These discussions have been led since 2015 by Frederik Mark Fowler, A Doctor of Scrum and Holder of the Professional Scrum Master level III certification awarded by Scrum.org. A herd of bison standing in the snow. Layered bluffs of multicolored sandstone. A silver Airstream trailer on a mountain highway. These are familiar sights for Neil Mathison and his wife, Susan. Newly retired, their son in college, they embark upon a great American road trip "uncoupled from the tyranny of calendars or a specific journey." Airstream Country recounts their travels across the western United States as they move from Montana to Malibu and Seattle to Silverton, winding their way through millions of years of geological history with their Airstream in tow. Along the way they encounter upheavals and depositions, ancient seas and young mountains, and stone towers and striated canyons, which are all illuminated by Mathison's knowledgeable commentary. Even after thousands of miles and eons of geology, their adventures are never finished, for, as Mathison writes, "We learn by travel where we ought to travel more."
