Gifted People - Being Aware of...

I felt compelled to share what I've recently discovered about giftedness. Personally, I wish I had been informed about this particular divergence from the average human brain earlier. However, my intention is not to attract undue attention or create a sense of superiority over others.

When I mentioned to my parents that many descriptions of gifted individuals resonated with my own experiences, they were hesitant to accept this label. The term "gifted" often carries implications of superiority, which can seem boastful. Yet, true talent or giftedness should foster humility and gratitude, coupled with a determination to navigate the challenges that come with such exceptional qualities.

Saying you are gifted often results in perceptions of being smarter than others. Yet, those who grasp these concepts usually understand that increased knowledge reveals the vast extent of what remains unknown. Even if you grasp things more quickly than others, the paradox is that those who believe they know everything are often the least knowledgeable. This can create a paradox for those trying to find self-confidence in their intelligence or creative abilities.

George Eliot pushed the boundaries of fiction and of Victorian society. She was an extraordinary woman whose unconventional life meant that she was judged harshly by family, friends, and strangers. Eliot wanted to draw attention to the feelings and motivations of ordinary people, so that we might feel more generous towards each other. But human beings are complex, and to capture that complexity Eliot drew on an astonishing range of philosophical, psychological, and scientific ideas. She hoped her work might do good, yet she was clear-eyed about the limits of both human sympathy and the novel. In this Very Short Introduction, Juliette Atkinson explores the ideas feeding Eliot's fiction and looks at the literary techniques—such as narrative voice, genre, imagery, structure, and syntax—that she used to embody them. These shape her recurrent themes: the stifling nature of gossip, the hardships experienced by commonplace individuals, the duty of practicing fellow-feeling and the difficulty of doing so. Atkinson argues that George Eliot was a social outcast who became a sage, through the creation of some of the most influential novels ever written in English.

Max Heindel is recognized as one of the greatest western mystics of the 20th century and he is the founder of the Rosicrucian Fellowship and author of a number of essential Rosicrucian works.
First published in 1916, Heindel's "The Rosicrucian Mysteries" is regarded as a classic work providing a guide for students to understand basic Rosicrucian teachings.
Max Heindel's mysticism is set firmly in the western tradition of the Gnosis. Following a series of disappointments and ill health, Heindel claims to have been visited by a Spiritual Being, who he identified as an Elder Brother of the Rosicrucian Order. From this entity he received a compelling explanation of the spiritual evolution of both the Cosmos and Humanity, couched in terms best suited to the logical, linear mind of western culture.

"The Rosicrucian Mysteries" is an elementary exposition of these teachings and training methods, and a perfect introduction to the philosophy of this important teacher of the Western Mystery Tradition.

This audiobook is narrated by an AI Voice.
White Lies Matter: The Gospel of MAWA isn’t just a book—it’s a sermon, a roast, and a history lesson rolled into one blistering satire of American politics. Beneath the bright red MAGA cap, the author exposes what the slogan really meant: Make America White Again.
With wit as sharp as Twain, the bite of Carlin, and the unflinching honesty of Chappelle, this audiobook takes listeners on a journey through America’s not-so-secret gospel of racial nostalgia. From the election of Barack Obama that shook the foundations of white exceptionalism, to Steve Bannon and Donald Trump baptizing a movement in fear, grievance, and privilege, WLM uncovers how the “American Dream” was fenced off and sold as exclusive property.
Each chapter functions like a scripture reading from the Church of MAWA, complete with commandments, proverbs, and revelations that peel back patriotic veneers to reveal the machinery of exclusion underneath. It’s biting, it’s funny, and it’s devastatingly honest—because America’s greatest myths are also its greatest lies.
This is not a quiet audiobook. It’s meant to provoke laughter, outrage, and reflection in equal measure. Whether you’re a believer in the gospel of MAWA or a skeptic watching from the pews, White Lies Matter insists you confront the uncomfortable truth: racism was never a glitch in the system—it was the system.
At once irreverent and illuminating, this is satire that cuts to the bone and asks the question no campaign slogan dares to touch: Whose America are we really trying to make “great” again?
