Sinopsis

หนึ่งในร้อย (Nung Nai Roi) is a celebrated classic of Thai literature, penned by M.L. Bubpha Nimmanhaemin under the pseudonym **Dok Mai Sod**. First published in 1934 (B.E. 2477), this novel is recognized as a pioneering work of **realistic-romantic fiction** (สัจนิยมกึ่งพาฝัน) and has been selected as one of the **100 good books that Thai people should read**. The story explores a profound love affair that brazenly crosses the conservative customs and conventions of its era. 
The narrative details the "mismatched" romance between two contrasting protagonists. **Anong** is a beautiful, overseas-educated heiress of a banker. She is portrayed as a courageous, free-spirited woman with a progressive **feminist ideology**, wearing bold 1930s fashion and confidently expressing her desires. She instantly falls in love with **Kun Phra Atthakhadi Wichai**, a solemn and deeply composed widower. Wichai, a judge/official, bases his life strictly on **Buddhist principles**, offering a stark contrast to Anong’s modern sensibilities.
