Sinopsis

Education innovators,

For a long time, special education was seen as a separate field, a niche for the few, or even an unattainable challenge for many. This volume of the Pedagogy series aims to change that perspective. We believe that inclusion is not just a moral or social obligation, but an opportunity to innovate, grow, and build a business with a profound purpose. Special education is the field where pedagogy finds its greatest power: to transform lives and build a more just and accessible society.

This book is a guide for anyone who wants to understand special education not just as a topic of study, but as a driver of entrepreneurship and innovation. Whether you're a teacher seeking to adapt your teaching practices, a student looking to delve deeper into a growing market niche, or an entrepreneur dreaming of creating a product or service with real impact, this book is for you.

Let’s explore the foundations of inclusive education, demystify the main learning differences and show how educational psychology can be your greatest ally. You'll learn how to use new technologies in education to create solutions that generate value for students, families, and schools. We'll analyze opportunities in different contexts, from early childhood education to high school and college.

Amid growing international concerns about income inequality, labor abuses, racial injustice, and disinformation online, Conscience Incorporated examines the gaps in current corporate social responsibility measures and what more needs be done to address these challenges. The rise of new technologies such as smartphones and social media have made it easier than ever to document and spread awareness of corporate actions. Despite these developments, large corporations often fail to meaningfully address the human rights abuses linked to their business models and practices.

Drawing from research into the history of business ethics, Michael Posner provides a blueprint for global business leaders to navigate human rights challenges and adopt sustainable corporate practices. He highlights the need for increased protections for outsourced workers in faraway nations, greater attention to harmful online content, and prioritization of human rights by investors.

Posner proposes a series of concrete reforms and argues compellingly for why businesses need to devote greater time and resources to protecting basic human rights. Conscience Incorporated is a powerful challenge to the status quo and advocates for a fundamental shift in the principles that govern global businesses.

The beginning of this economic concept, economies of the scale, can be dated back to Adam Smith who was a Scottish pioneer of political economy and an important key figure during the Scottish Enlightenment Era who first mentioned this concept in his book “Wealth of Nations” in 1776 and was based on the idea of obtaining greater production return profits through the use of division of labour.
The economies of the scale rely over the fixed cost that are uniform and do not vary with any of the alterations in output processes or variable costs which may undergo changes due to change in the amount of output. Other sources of the economies of scale are Production, Managerial, Technological, Financial, and Marketing.
The economies of scale tend to have a significant effect on the production costs of the material. The economies of scale reduce the per unit fixed cost of the product and with increased production the fixed cost of the product expands over the entire output at a greater rate than before. The economies of scale are also responsible for bringing down the per unit cost value of the product. This occurs due to the expansion of production scale which as a result improves the efficiency of the production processes.
The economies of scale are cost-advantageous and the working of business takes place through exploitation of expanding scale of production. There are broadly two main types of economies of scale- Internal and External economies of scale which are further subdivided into various types.
