  The Notorious B.I.G., born Christopher Wallace, was a highly influential American rapper, known for his laid-back lyrical delivery and storytelling. He rose to fame in the mid-90s, becoming a central figure in East Coast hip-hop with his debut album, Ready to Die (1994). He was known for exploring themes of hardship, criminality, and celebration. His life was tragically cut short in a drive-by shooting in 1997. Life After Death, his second album, was released posthumously and achieved massive commercial success.
