She was the first woman to win the Nobel Prize, the first and only woman to win it two times, and the only individual to win the Nobel Prize in 2 different clinical classifications. 
  Her first Nobel Prize was co-won by her spouse, Pierre Curie, making them the first married set to win the reward and developing the Curie family tradition of 5 Nobel Prizes. She was the first woman to be selected as a teacher at the University of Paris in 1906.
