Father Charles Coughlin was a controversial Canadian-American Catholic priest based in Michigan. Calling for monetary reforms, the nationalization of major industries and railroads, and protection of the rights of labor, Coughlin used weekly radio broadcasts to reach a mass audience of up to thirty million listeners during the 1930s. An early supporter of Franklin D. Roosevelt and his New Deal, Coughlin later became a harsh critic. Coughlin’s commentary also became more anti-semitic, and he supported some of the fascist policies of Hitler, Mussolini, and Hirohito. As a result, many American Catholic leaders, as well as the Vatican, wanted Coughlin silenced. After the outbreak of World War II in 1939, the Roosevelt administration finally forced the cancellation of his radio program and forbade the dissemination of his newspaper, Social Justice. This recording is from 1939.

Brought to you by Altrusian Grace Media and narrated by Matthew Schmitz.
Dion Fortune’s Psychic Self-Defense is a seminal work on the hidden dimensions of psychic and spiritual vulnerability, exploring how unseen forces—whether psychological projections, unconscious influences, or genuine occult phenomena—can affect human well-being. Drawing from her own experiences as a psychotherapist and occultist, Fortune examines cases of psychic attack, obsession, and energy vampirism, offering practical methods of protection through mental discipline, moral clarity, and spiritual hygiene. More than a manual on occult defense, it is a study of the human mind’s porous boundaries and the necessity of maintaining inner strength and discernment in the face of invisible adversity.

A surprise inheritance. A cache of family secrets. A choice that will change her life forever.

Lillian Doyle has lived her entire high-society life with her widowed mother, believing her father died long ago. But when news arrives that her estranged father only recently passed away—in jail—Lillian is startled to find that he has left a business and all his possessions to her, making her a rather unusual heiress.

When she arrives at her father’s house in a backwoods Georgia town, the dilapidated structure is already occupied by a woman who claims it was promised to her son, Jonah. In her attempts to untangle the mess, Lillian will discover not only a family she never knew she had but a family business that is more than meets the eye—and has put a target on her back.

To discover the truth and take hold of the independence she’s always dreamed of, she’ll have to make friends with adversaries and strangers—and Jonah, the dusty and unrefined cowboy who has secret aspirations of his own.

Many of us think of activism as signing petitions, attending rallies or marches, or engaging in political agendas. But what does it look like to be moved by the things that moved God's heart in the day-to-day? How can we live in such a way that we are always, out of habit, contributing to a more just society?

In this inspiring and accessible book, pastor J. W. Buck shows you how to engage in seven practices to be a faithful activist in the world today, including choosing thoughtful resistance over thoughtless compliance; loving your neighbor over fearing your differences; seeking forgiveness over revenge; resting over endless working; practicing nonviolence over violence; and more.

If you've wanted to get involved in justice work but aren't sure where to start, this practical and engaging book will show you how you can develop everyday habits drawn from the life of Jesus that make the world a better place.

This timely and engaging book by Tony Merida explores what church is, why being part of it is exciting, and why it’s worthy of our love and commitment. He sets out eight privileges and responsibilities of a church member: to belong, to welcome, to gather, to care, to serve, to honour, to witness and to send. Whether you're new to your local church or have been attending for some time, this book will re-energise you with God’s vision for the local church.
