Sinopse

Toronto's CN Tower has fallen into the lake. The city is crowded with refugees from the US. Michael and Ruth Racco's dad has, in a rash of road rage, perpetrated the Backhoe Massacre. And, in the middle of it all, little Jimmy Hardcastle has, in the fountain of a suburban mall, walked on water.

As helicopters chop the air over Toronto and a paranoid America slides into fascism, kids from south of the border collide with kids from north of the border and, over lattes, ruminate on new possibilities.

Your Secrets Sleep With Me is a frenetic, ruthlessly hilarious critique of power and politics. Brilliant, absurd, incisive and fun, this caffeinated novel will take you on a doomed search for the place where you end and everything else begins. But you will not be alone. Shhh. Don't worry. Your secrets sleep with us.

    Midlife Can Suck It.
Ella Breene never imagined she'd rise to become the Alpha of the Black Crater Pack. She was just looking for a peaceful life in Oregon with her kids, away from her tumultuous past with her ex. But destiny had different plans.
In midlife, making friends can be a real headache, especially when those friends are far from ordinary. Ella's found herself tangled up with a group of supernatural beings, and let's just say, it's not all sunshine and roses.
While some members of the pack embrace her as their Alpha, including an enticing someone she can't get out of her mind, there's a vocal faction that would rather chew glass than accept her leadership.
And if that weren't enough, her seventeen-year-old son is dead-set on joining this supernatural world, driving Ella to the brink.
Midlife Wolf Pack is the pulse-pounding second chapter of the Accidental Alpha series, where Ella Breene continues to defy the odds, embracing her role as Alpha while navigating the wild waters of midlife, motherhood, and a supernatural world that's anything but ordinary.

My name is Carter Riley. I am a veteran peacekeeper; once a one-armed, homeless, jobless father, now the first human ever to come into contact with the Precursors' Cube on Mars, and proud owner of the most combative hamster in the galaxy.

The artifact is what brought me to Sidus, a mysterious space station at the center of the galaxy. A dozen or so alien civilizations have also found their way here, seemingly to unite against a common enemy. Or common enemies. Honestly, we don't know what it is that we need to face, for all the species on Sidus combined have barely explored a fraction of the galaxy. We can only guess at what other secrets are held by that dark, obscure expanse.

It does hold something, that's for sure. Something sinister. And it's up to me to find out what.

After all, I am the first, the protector of my kind.

Before doing that, though, I need to tie my laces and swap out this crappy blaster for something a little more high-tech.

The Unnamable by H. P. Lovecraft - Two men debate the limits of human understanding while sitting atop an ancient, haunted burial ground—only to be confronted by a terror that defies all form and logic. What lurks beyond language and reason may not just exist… it may be waiting.
Howard Phillips Lovecraft was known for pioneering cosmic horror—a genre emphasizing the insignificance of humanity in an indifferent universe. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Lovecraft was a sickly and reclusive child, heavily influenced by classical literature, science, and the works of Edgar Allan Poe and Lord Dunsany.
Despite financial struggles and limited literary success during his lifetime, Lovecraft created the Cthulhu Mythos. His most famous works include The Call of Cthulhu, At the Mountains of Madness, and The Shadow over Innsmouth.
Though he died in poverty at age 46, his work gained widespread recognition posthumously, shaping modern horror fiction and pop culture.
