Sinopse

In these four walls you are welcome to roam free but don't expect that to be a good thing, this here is a story of twisted love that starts in the middle and ends at the beginning, you can't build just any type of four walls you have to build with love and passion, just be careful not to fill it up with violence and despise because you will regret it forever more.
This story takes you through a jagged history of what seems to be unrelated events scattered through history, only when you get to the beginning in the middle of the book do you realise that all events are related, all connected by a thin line of fate that attaches different time zones in history to one another, as you read through the delicately crafted verses you are witness to a serious of horrific events that will change the course of history.
If you are looking for a story about forbidden love and something scary then this is the book for you. The poet takes you on a roller coaster ride that unlike the conventional rides in the UK, the thrills here get more traumatic as you delve deeper into the pages, leaving you breathless and you will scream for more as you nervously look over your shoulder into the shadows.
This is the darkest book written by this upcoming author, it leaves no stone unturned and already people are whispering about the true meanings of what lies hidden in this book and in those for walls.

'So, if you Americans already have cornflakes and Woolworths, what brings you to England?'
It's 1973, and a young man from Des Moines, Iowa, has arrived on the ferry at Dover. He intends to conquer the whole of the island, like Caesar attempted before him.
But Caesar didn't have to deal with counterpanes, kippers, Cadbury's Curly Wurlies, or Mrs Smegma the landlady's eccentric house rules. As Bill travels the length and breadth of Britain, through villages with names like Titsey and Little Dribbling, something strange starts to happen. Can it be true? Is he really starting to feel at home?
Bill Bryson's smash-hit memoir Notes from a Small Island spent three years in The Sunday Times bestseller list, sold over two million copies, and was voted the book which best represents the UK.
Tim Whitnall's hilarious stage adaptation was first produced at the Watermill Theatre, Newbury, in 2023. Written for an ensemble cast of seven (but suitable for a cast of dozens), it will appeal to amateur drama groups as a glorious celebration of one of the nation's most beloved books, and a brilliant dissection of the enduring quirks of our small island.
'So, if you Americans already have cornflakes and Woolworths, what brings you to England?'
    'A comic pleasure… has a revue-like charm… abounds in nostalgia and warmth' - Telegraph
'A thoroughly enjoyable piece of theatre… With more than 80 characters and incorporating almost as many cities, Tim Whitnall's adaptation [is] a hugely ambitious project… it manages to capture the spirit of the novel… This tour of Britain has been lovingly recreated… with a strong, diverse ensemble, gradually building up a picture of Britain over the decades… hilarious' - The Stage
'A pilgrimage of delight… Delicious fun… wonderfully vivid cameos, to great comic effect and always affectionate rather than simply caricature' - WhatsOnStage

'A whirlwind of adventure… lovingly evokes images of Britain in times gone by… ignites an unexpected surge of patriotism' - West End Best Friend

Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant and ambitious young student, discovers the secret of creating life from the remains of the dead. But elation at his triumph is replaced by horror when he sees his monstrous creation. Abandoned by the one who made him, Frankenstein's Creature is left to a world that fears and rejects him, and soon his innocence turns to misery - and a murderous desire for revenge...
Every word in Patrick Sandford's 'vigorous adaptation' (The Times) is lifted directly from Mary Shelley's classic gothic novel. One of the greatest horror stories of all time, and one that still grips readers today almost two hundred years after its first publication.
All the more successful for staying faithful to the dark spirit of the original book, this adaptation includes notes on the first production and can be performed with a minimum of set and props, making it well suited for staging by schools and amateur theatre groups, as well as by professional companies.
    'Atmospheric… haunting… with splendid Gothic horror touches… a truly impressive theatrical experience' - ReviewsGate.com

Robert Holman's Jonah and Otto is a humane, funny and ultimately haunting play that explores masculinity, identity and what it means to be English.
Over the course of a single day, two men share their solitude and unfold their secrets. They disagree with each other about women, about lust and about guilt. They question the power of magic, of redemption and the price of freedom, each seeing himself more clearly through the eyes of the other.
Jonah and Otto premiered in 2008 at the Royal Exchange, Manchester. This edition was published alongside its London premiere at the Park Theatre in 2014.
'extraordinary... Robert Holman's achingly beautiful new play takes you into other worlds, but it is rooted firmly in this one... a recklessly courageous play about two men struggling to find the courage to live, love and to be the best possible version of themselves' - Guardian
'a quiet power... Robert Holman's plays rumble and reverberate in the mind long afterwards' - The Times
'astonishing... Brimming with emotional wonder, Jonah and Otto is an intricately layered creation that hums hypnotically' - Independent

Over the far horizon the blanket of night begins to slowly dissolve. The sun is once more on its daily journey across the heavens. The light begins to sharpen and increase in intensity revealing the landscape. Morning has begun and dazed heads and sleepy faces come to terms with the new day.
Our poets capture the mood, the emotions and all manner of other details in their descriptions of this time. But then with the calibre of wordsmiths such as Tennyson, Wordsworth, Milton, Southey, Donne and many more besides we are almost spoilt.
This volume comes to you from Portable Poetry, a specialized imprint from Deadtree Publishing. Our range is large and growing and covers single poets, themes, and many compilations.

Hollywood is indelibly printed in our minds as the ‘go-to’ place for entertainment and has been for decades. When there really did seem to be more stars in Hollywood than in Heaven Hollywood Stage had them performing films as radio plays – on the sponsors dime of course. Classic films now become audiobooks with many featuring the original stars from way back when. Here's Jezebel starring Loretta Young & Brian Donlevy.
