Sinopsis

In a world increasingly fraught with unseen dangers and internal battles, the illusion of solitary strength crumbles. We've shed the archaic labels of strong or weak, male or female, recognizing that life's complexities demand a collective helping hand.Just a Touch of Ginger is an unflinching exploration of one man's journey, delivered with striking dark imagery and a potent, often self-deprecating, dark humor. This personal narrative is profoundly shaped by the visceral power of The Wildhearts. Their incendiary arrival on the 1990s music scene challenged the status quo, their unbridled passion and chaotic honesty a stark reflection of the struggles many faced. Even as they teetered on self-destruction, their music became a lifeline. Ginger, the band's enigmatic leader, inadvertently built a powerful community, transforming scattered listeners into a devoted family. The fight evolved: no longer just the band against the world, but a unified front of Wildhearts and fans against society's injustices. This is more than a memoir; it’s the story of that war—a deeply personal account from a survivor, a proud member of the legion. It's about drawing strength from shared purpose, embracing a wild heart, and courageously confronting the realities of our time, no matter how grim or absurd they appear.

This is not heart warming holiday fare. It is a short (one-act) unsubtle antiwar play by the English poet Alfred Noyes (1880-1958), published in 1915 while World War I is in progress. Part of the work is in verse. Music sung by Duane Steadman. (Summary by David Wales)

'In the Kingdom of Fife, in the days of long ago, there lived an old man and his wife. The old man was a douce, quiet body, but the old woman was lightsome and flighty, and some of the neighbours were wont to look at her askance, and whisper to each other that they sorely feared that she was a Witch.'
Elizabeth W. Grierson tells the tale of the famous witches of Fife, and what happens when one's husband gets a little too curious... This short story is one of a compilation from Grierson's 'The Scottish Fairy Book', first published in 1910, and is read by Stephanie MacGaraidh.

Arthur Miller's deeply moving drama reunites two long estranged middle-aged brothers. Nostalgia and recrimination erupt as they sell off an attic full of furniture, their last link to a family and a world that no longer exist. This 1968 classic is a wrenching saga of plaintive gestures and missed opportunities. A BBC Co-production.

An L.A. Theatre Works full-cast performance featuring Richard Dreyfuss, Amy Irving and Harris Yulin.

Phantasmagoria, Lewis Carroll's longest poem, was first published by Macmillan and Co., London, in 1869. Written in seven cantos, it tells the tale, in quintains, of a gentleman called Tibbets and his experience conversing with a phantom. This amusing "epic" takes us through their initial fear of each other, a fierce debate over the goings-on of the supernatural world, and finally, to a touching mutual admiration.

"One NIght" Is an original one act play written by Christopher Swann that lasts just over 75 minutes.
On one night in November 1920 two Officers were tasked with choosing the "Unknown Warrior" who was to be laid to rest in Westminster Abbey. They entered a small chapel in Northern France where six coffins of the unidentified military dead rested, having been brought from the battlefields of Belgium and France. The Officers entered at dusk to choose one from those six coffins and left the chapel at dawn. No one knows what happened that night and what kept the two Officers - a General and a Colonel who had both served in and survived World War One - in the chapel and why they stayed the whole night. This play is an imagining of that One Night and the dilemma that faced them in making the choice. As they consider which coffin to pick and mull over the randomness that has brought these six unknown soldiers to the chapel, the voices of men of other ranks and a bereaved Mother are heard - all are ghosts who died in the Great war. The play has received professional performances in the UK. This audio book is a Radio version of "One Night" which is a play in one act.It was recorded in an audio studio in Birmingham with a professional cast and directed and written by the award winning Director Christopher Swann. The Script of the theatrical version of the play is published on Lulu.com at
