Sinopse

Grant Cannon’s father left a hardscrabble East Texas farm for the Colorado gold fields in the 1860s.  After two years of waiting, their mother left for San Francisco and Grant and his brother headed west to look for their father, Dale.  They stumble on a collection of homesteads that the residents, mostly former slaves, call Freedom Town.  They stay there for several years, thinking that Dale is dead.
Dale had been shot and robbed but survived three years alone in the mountains with amnesia.  The brothers find Dale and bring back toward normalcy.  Dale told them where to find much gold and silver, which turned into Cannon Mines.
Grant turned his newfound wealth into a large horse ranch west of Denver.  Three friends also bought multiple sections of land bordering Grant’s.  The small group have to fight to protect their property from claim jumpers, rustlers, thieves, Cuban assassins, wild animals, and Ute horse raiders.  They also helped rescue a Freedom Town resident from a lynch mob in Denver.
This book describes how a man raises himself up from poverty to wealth while maintaining high moral character.  It is chock full of western action, heroes, and villains.

I was just looking for a tattoo.
I didn’t expect to walk into seven ex-cons who watched me like I was the next thing they’d ruin.
One second, I was a single mom trying to keep my life together.
The next, I was standing inside Swan & Rose…
Surrounded by danger wrapped in ink and muscle—
And something in me cracked wide open.
    Seven men.
    Criminal pasts.
    Sin written across their bodies.
They’re wrong for me in every way.
Too rough. Too intense. Too many.
But every time they touch me, it feels like I finally belong to something real.
    I should be running.
For my safety. For my daughter.
For the quiet life I swore I’d protect.
But when a masked stalker starts circling, and my abusive ex resurfaces—
Those seven dangerous men turn savage.
They don’t just want to guard me.
    They want to claim me.
    Mark me.
And when two pink lines change everything… they make one thing terrifyingly clear:
    I’m theirs.
And they’ll burn the world down to keep me.

Lucy Maud Montgomery (November 30, 1874 – April 24, 1942), published as L. M. Montgomery, was a Canadian author best known for a series of novels beginning in 1908 with Anne of Green Gables. The book was an immediate success. The title character, orphan Anne Shirley, made Montgomery famous in her lifetime and gave her an international following.
Ted's Afternoon Off: Ted was up at five that morning, as usual. He always had to rise early to kindle the fire and go for the cows, but on this particular morning there was no "had to" about it. He had awakened at four o'clock and had sprung eagerly to the little garret window facing the east, to see what sort of a day was being born.

The life of a Muse is hard. There are so many rules.

Rule Number 1: Don't get tipsy in Vegas and have a one night stand with the Goddess of Harvest.

Rule Number 2: Whatever happens in Vegas, don't let Hera interfere.

Rule Number 3: When Hera inevitably interferes and ties you to Demeter for all eternity (or until she restarts spring on Earth), try not to fall in love.

When the most popular (and devastatingly beautiful, everybody says so) Muse breaks the centuries old rule and gets entangled with the Goddess of Harvest, the entire Olympus is in upheaval. What happens when Hera steps in to resolve the conundrum only to bring about the most adored trope of them all, forced proximity? Will Demeter surrender to the irresistible Muse? And will Erato finally see herself as more than Aphrodite's sidekick?

The Cupids & Goddesses are back! Sabine, Abby, and Aphrodite are bringing with them a steamy and highly trope'y third installment in the Perfect Match series, filled to the brim with intrigue-weaving immortals, spring festivals, charming rogues and a grand gesture for the ages!

    Contains mature themes.
