Synopsis

KELLAN OAKES is a private investigator just trying to make it through each day, working enough cases to keep his agency afloat. It pays the bills, barely, but beats having a real job. 
KELLAN OAKES is a man who has spent time in two different worlds, and knows just enough about both to be helpful, or dangerous, depending on which side he’s on. 
KELLAN OAKES is the son of Foltchain of the Oak, an immortal druid priestess revered throughout the mystical realm known as the Deep Woods. 
And Foltchain of the Oak is missing. 
The timing is bad, as his college buddy Juvie has just arrived in town to ensure Kellan enjoys a long-overdue vacation, while Phoebe, a hamadryad and childhood friend who now works as the receptionist for Kellan Oakes Investigations, needs help that only Foltchain can provide.  
As the three of them work together to locate Kellan’s mother, they must also unravel the true nature of the Deep Woods’ new affliction and its connection to Foltchain’s absence.  
The fates of at least two worlds, and countless lives, hang in the balance …
