Summary

Former military man, Nathan Mason, is trying to piece his life together after the death of his mother and the separation from his twin. Knowing the inheritance left by his mother won’t last forever, he has two options: return to the Army or get a job in security.

Landing a bodyguard position isn’t his ideal job choice, but it’s one of the few opportunities he’s qualified for. In fact, he believes he’s over-qualified to be on babysitting duty for some wealthy man’s bratty child. All that changes when he meets Christian Madison.

Christian is the twenty-year-old heir to a high-profile pharmaceutical company. Threats have been pouring in since his father’s announcement to hike the price of the company’s AIDS treatment drug. Arthur Madison knows he needs to ensure Christian’s safety, so he hires a team to guard his son.

Bodyguard Nathan Mason is Christian’s only chance for safety, and his only hope for love.

Throughout the eons of time it was said that when it came to Fated Mates, the Fates never made a mistake. Could Helios and Bruno prove to be the exception to that rule?
Ancient Greek God of the Sun, Helios might also be the god of sight, but even he couldn't predict what would happen when he finally caught a glimpse of the light he'd been looking for - the one that let him know his search for his mate was over. The problem was when he chased up the source of that light, his intended one was on a date with someone else. Even when the date ended badly, Helios's efforts to help weren't appreciated.
Bear shifter, Bruno Carpenter, was an ex-soldier, a current police officer, and on a date from hell. When he gets mugged he is shocked to feel his body responding to a male who suddenly appeared in the alley beside him. What was worse was that the same man started talking about them being mates. Bruno decided he must have been hit on the head harder than he thought.
Unfortunately, the attack on Bruno was just part of a bigger picture - one that Helios could see thanks to his newly made Bruno App (thank you Zeus). But as Helios and Bruno spend time together, the chances of Helios having a future with the man the Fates deemed perfect for him get smaller and smaller. Is the mating of Helios and Bruno doomed to fail? Will they be the exception that proved the rule? And what does that saying even mean?
Give Me A Reason is the thirteenth book in the Gods Made Me Do It series, but it can be read as a standalone.

ONE OF QUEER FORTY'S BEST PRIDE READS FOR SUMMER 2023! 2023 Best Indie Book Award Winner for LGBTQ+ Fiction! Gold Medal Finalist for 2024 Independent Publisher Book Awards for LGBTQ+ Fiction Three gay men in pre-Stonewall New York City find their fates thrown together in the police raid of a Village bar. Roger Moorhouse is a Wall Street banker and Westchester family man with a preciously guarded secret. As the shouting begins and flashlights blaze in his face, the life he’s carefully curated over the years―a fancy new office overlooking lower Broadway, a house in Beechmont Woods, his wife and children―is about to come crashing down around him. Columbia literature professor Julian Prince lives a comparatively uncloseted life when he finds his first committed relationship tested to its limits. How could he explain to Gus, a fearless young artist, that he couldn’t stay with him that weekend because the woman who was still technically Julian’s fiancée would be visiting? But when Gus is struck unconscious by a police baton, Julian comes out of hiding to protect him, even if exposure means losing everything. For Danny Duffy, an Irish kid from the Bronx with a sassy mouth and a diverse group of friends, the raid is a galvanizing, Spartacus moment. Danny doesn’t have too much left to lose; his family has just disowned him. But once his name appears in the newspaper, he’ll be fired from his job at Sloan’s Supermarket, where he’s risen to assistant manager of produce, and begin a journey that veers between political enlightenment and violent revenge. The three men find themselves in a police wagon together, their hidden lives threatened to be revealed to the world. Blackmail, a private investigator, Gus’s disappearance, and Danny’s quest for retribution propel Disorderly Men to its piercing conclusion, as each man meets the boundaries of his own fear, love, and shame. The stakes for each are different, but all of them confront a fundamental question: How much happiness is he allowed to have . . . and what share of it will he lay claim to?

Plain tells the story of Mary Alice Hostetter's journey to define an authentic self amid a rigid religious upbringing in a Mennonite farm family. Although endowed with a personality "prone toward questioning and challenging," the young Mary Alice at first wants nothing more than to be a good girl, to do her share, and—alongside her eleven siblings—to work her family's Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, farm. She feels fortunate to have been born into a religion where, as the familiar hymn states, she is "safe in the arms of Jesus." As an adolescent, that keen desire for belonging becomes focused on her worldly peers, even though she knows that Mennonites consider themselves a people apart. Eventually she leaves behind the fields and fences of her youth, thinking she will finally be able to grow beyond the prohibitions of her church. Discovering and accepting her sexuality, she once again finds herself apart, on the outside of family, community, and societal norms.

This quietly powerful memoir of longing and acceptance casts a humanizing eye on a little-understood American religious tradition and a woman's striving to grow within and beyond it.

A family emergency brings me back to Christmas Falls after running away from the loss of my mother six years ago. Not much has changed, and I don't know if that's a good thing or bad, especially when it seems my high school enemy hasn't gotten over his habit of circling around me.
Jett is everything I'm not, so full of confidence like he's never done a single thing wrong in his life. He vibrates life, and I have to admit his presence distracts me from being back in Christmas Falls. What I didn't expect is for him to take all my attention.
He'd gotten under my skin back then and he's only dug in deeper since, and I can't let anyone find out how much I love that fact. Now if only he'd stop stealing my heart with his crookedly perfect smiles...
Christmas Falls is a multi-author M/M romance series set in a small town that thrives on enough holiday charm to rival any Hallmark movie.
