Sinopse

Ministry is a love-hate relationship. There are times when preachers love it, and times when they hate it. "We Do Not Lose Heart" is an exegesis of Second Corinthians that edifies ministers and missionaries when they encounter certain hardships in their ministry. Such hardships, when not handled properly, can lead the preacher down a pathway of despair and discouragement. Paul was not only an apostle, but a minister and missionary of the gospel as well. Throughout Paul's ministry, the countless trials, false accusations, and many defeats should have meant that, by human standards, he was a defeated man. On the contrary, however, these hardships became a testimony to the faithfulness of Paul's ministry because he refused to lose heart. Thus, ministers and missionaries who desire to keep their ministry alive would do well to study Paul's inspired letter of Second Corinthians where he defends his ministry and explains why he does not lose heart.

What was the starting point of Christianity? Was it in a little town in Bethlehem, just as the lyrics of our favorite Christmas songs contend?
In truth, in the earliest days of Christianity, when Peter and Paul first set out to preach the gospel, the belief systems of early Christians were viewed as merely a new sect of Judaism. The appellation of “Christian” was a term developed by outside antagonists, which the so-called Christians wore with pride. It took time for Christianity to be fully cleaved away from its mother religion of Judaism.
A council was held in Jerusalem around 50 CE for the early church leaders to decide what would become the fundamentals of the new faith, such as what old rules and regulations from the Old Testament should remain for new believers. From Christianity’s earliest formation as a separate identity, it began to spread across the known world. The early Christians met in underground churches and, at times, even in graveyards to avoid persecution.
Yet, their very secrecy often spurned the wildest of rumors. It got to the point where Communion was even mistaken as an act of cannibalism! This led to the rise of Christian apologists, who were tasked with explaining the most fundamental elements to the lay public.
This book explores all of these aspects of early Christianity and more. In this book, you will learn about the following:	The ministry of Jesus	Who first spread the gospel 	Early Christian outreach to the Greco-Roman world	Christian Gnosticism, Manicheism, and other Christian sects	The struggle of Christian apologists	The early martyrs of the Christian faith	The impact of the Council of Nicaea	How the church survived the fall of the Roman Empire

I was standing on my bed looking out of my bedroom window. The sky appeared gray and somber. I saw a young man with dark hair looking up, staring at me from the sidewalk. Then quick lightning flashed, striking him, leaving a small pile of charcoal-colored ashes on the sidewalk where he once stood... I awoke. I was surrounded by plastic drapes and hospital monitoring equipment. The air around me smelled like chicken soup and chemicals. They later told me it had been five months that Id been in a coma. I was wrapped in layers of white bandages. Third-degree burns covered almost 80 percent of my body. My journey was just beginning. The doctors painted a grim future for me. They told my mom that I would never walk again. Oftentimes, we can forget to be thankful for the small things. In her book Snatch Back, author Ruby Hayes recounts some of her most trying times and how God eventually took hold of her life and brought her back to the light. Hayes's book is a shining testimony to the fact that it is never to late to be relinquished from the devil. This is the book that Satan himself does not want published.
