Summary

Once, Anjali Patel and Mikhail Grikov were soldiers on opposing sides of an intergalactic war. They met, fell in love and decided to go on the run together.
Now Anjali and Mikhail are trying to eke out a living on the independent worlds of the galactic rim, while attempting to stay under the radar of those pursuing them.
When they are hired to retrieve a weapons prototype from an abandoned planet, it seems like a routine job. But it quickly turns out that the planet is not as empty as they had thought. And soon, Anjali and Mikhail find themselves caught in a deadly chase across a radioactive wasteland.
This is a novella of 27500 words or approx. 95 print pages in the "In Love and War" series, but may be read as a standalone.

"Vivid and amusing...Magically funny."-Ursula K. LeGuin, Los Angeles Times

An enchanting collection of stories, set in the same world, from the author of the award-winning, internationally bestselling Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell.

Following the international bestseller Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, Susanna Clarke returns with an enchanting collection of stories brimming with all the ingredients of good fairy tales: petulant princesses, vengeful owls, ladies who pass their time in embroidering terrible fates, endless paths in deep, dark woods, and houses that never appear the same way twice. The heroines and heroes who must grapple with these problems include the Duke of Wellington, a conceited Regency clergyman, an eighteenth-century Jewish doctor, and Mary Queen of Scots, as well as two characters from Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell; Strange himself and the Raven King.

The Ladies of Grace Adieu and Other Stories introduces readers to a world where charm is always tempered by eerieness, and picaresque comedy is always darkened by the disturbing shadow of Faerie.

The naked, injured, insanely gorgeous younger man who clambered into her RV insists they belong together. From #1 New York Times bestselling author Sylvia Day comes a story of the ultimate seduction. . . .
Max Westin. Sex incarnate. She could smell it, feel it with his proximity. Everything about him was a little rough, a little gritty. He was a primitive creature. Just like her.
He held her hand a little too long, his gaze, under thick lashes, clearly stating his intention to have her. To tame her. . . .
    "Victoria."
Her name, just one word, but spoken with such possession she could almost feel the collar around her neck.
"It's in your nature," he murmured. "The desire to be taken."
In this game of cat and mouse, everything is an illusion, but the passion is as real as it gets. . . .
