Sinopse

From the author of the best-selling The Sapphos Trilogy. Tanya is a Slavic beauty in her late 30's – a sexy, seductive, provocative blonde, with a rough background in need of a place to land. She meets the author of this tale in a chance encounter at a railway station, after which he brings her to his luxurious estate. She tells him of the Master she served as lover, whore, sex-slave and bitch, and the depths to which she was taken by this brute and his guests. She obeyed this Master's every wish, becoming subject to heavy bondage, flogging, double-penetration, group sex and unflinching service. With the man who takes her in, she's open, compliant and willing to serve him as well, because this is who she has become and still desires to be.

Lettice Galbraith is yet another of those mysterious women of British literature of whom little was recorded.

Lizzie Susan Gibson was born on the 27th January 1859 in Kingston-Upon-Hull in Yorkshire into a comfortable middle-class family.

Her education was primarily private but at fifteen her father died, and life became rather different.

After several years in London, she moved with her mother to Reigate in Surrey.

In 1885 she published her first story anonymously and her pseudonym ‘Lettice Galbraith’ only appeared from late 1892.

Although her canon of works is small, she mainly achieved her reputation on a single volume of ghost and supernatural stories entitled ‘New Ghost Stories’.

After her mother’s death in 1901 she moved to London and continued to write, this time moving on from the short story to the novel, as well as reverting to her given name.

For the last two decades of her life, she did not continue her literary career.

Lettice Galbraith died on 8th July 1932 at Downe, then in Kent. She was 73

For retired San Diego detective Rick “Chase” Chasen, week-long walks in the English countryside are an enjoyable new pastime. But sometimes these outings take deadly detours…

Chase is disappointed that his partner Mike won’t be joining him on his tour of the rocky Cornish coast—but like long-distance walks, long-distance relationships can require an occasional break. He still has his friend Billie for company, though, and a few more fellow Americans, from a New Orleans restaurateur to a New York travel writer, joining them on their jaunt.

When the group hears before their departure that local landowners have been sabotaging the trail with booby-traps, their walk leader dismisses it as rumor—but some in the group are worried, especially after a terrifying incident on a bridge the very next morning. As they bravely continue their expedition, twelve-year-old chatterbox Ivy, who’s already spilled some of her mother’s secrets, continues gossiping to Chase about the group members. She’s been researching online and thinks they’re not all as they seem. When one of them nearly plunges to her death during a visit to a 16th-century castle, Ivy’s sure a killer walks among them.

That turns out to be a real possibility when the near miss is followed by a suspicious death during a meal break. Did a Cornish property owner take a prank too far? And is Ivy just a drama-obsessed internet addict, or is ignoring her warnings a fatal misstep? If murder is truly afoot, Chase will have to rely on his investigative wits to trip the killer up.
