Summary

Elroy Greer has been having a really bad month. A co-worker blames him for mistakes he didn't make. His car is broken into. He lost most of his friends to his ex in the break-up. Then his hiking buddy bails at the last second, leaving Elroy alone at a trailhead. He decides some time in nature to get away from it all is still an excellent idea and heads out on his own. True to his bad luck, Elroy gets caught in a spring flash storm, loses his way, and tumbles off a cliff. He expects to die out there, but he doesn't. Elroy wakes up in a log cabin with a man who's already supposed to be dead—Rueben Calhoun. Except, Rueben is calling himself Dermot Reever. As Dermot begins explaining about wolf shifters and mates and that they are destined to be together, Elroy can hardly believe it's real. He's sure he'll wake up and find it's all been a pain-medicine-induced dream. If it's not a dream, can Elroy really take the chance that his bad luck won't ruin everything and have enough faith to begin a relationship with a wolf shifter in hiding?

They don’t play for the same team. Or do they?
Jamie Canning has never been able to figure out how he lost his closest friend. Four years ago, his tattooed, wise-cracking, rule-breaking roommate cut him off without an explanation. So what if things got a little weird on the last night of hockey camp the summer they were eighteen? It was just a little drunken foolishness. Nobody died.
Ryan Wesley’s biggest regret is coaxing his very straight friend into a bet that pushed the boundaries of their relationship. Now, with their college teams set to face off at the national championship, he’ll finally get a chance to apologize. But all it takes is one look at his longtime crush, and the ache is stronger than ever.
Jamie has waited a long time for answers, but walks away with only more questions—can one night of sex ruin a friendship? If not, how about six more weeks of it? When Wesley turns up to coach alongside Jamie for one more hot summer at camp, Jamie has a few things to discover about his old friend…and a big one to learn about himself.
Warning: contains sexual situations, skinny-dipping, shenanigans in an SUV and proof that coming out to your family on social media is a dicey proposition.
“I read HIM in one sitting—it’s so, so good! If I had to pick two authors who I’d have team up, it would be Bowen and Kennedy”

Fear keeps the truth away from his brothers. Fear and pain keeps him away from the man he loves.
Hawks MC member Maddox "Beast" Lawson had a difficult time growing up. Tired of being ridiculed because of his effed-up brain-to-mouth connection, it was easier to say nothing at all. Living in silence worked out just fine until that b*tch called Fate took his hearing, not only that, but she also threw him into the arms of the man who refuses to acknowledge that one hot night they shared.
Jay Conger, Knife to his brothers, loves pussy. Licking, fingering, screwing, he'll take it any way it's offered. After one surprising night with Beast, to say he's freaked out is an understatement. Hell, even bananas have taken on a new meaning, and thinking about a certain someone's body is too much. Unable to think straight, Knife is at an impasse, not only with his traitorous desire but with his heart.
Both lives are going to change. Only will it be for the better?

Please note: This is book #5 in an MC spin-off series, but can be read as a standalone. It's more of a light read and based on the hero finding his love interest than club business.

There are few emerging women of color in queer mystery writing, and Cheryl Head is among the very best.
