Sinopse

Charles Williams was a British poet, novelist, playwright, theologian and literary critic, chiefly remembered today for his innovative fantasy novels. Along with Tolkien and C. S. Lewis, Williams was a member of the Inklings, a literary discussion group based in Oxford University, who were enthusiasts that praised the value of narrative in fiction and encouraged the writing of fantasy. Williams produced notable works in all literary formats, including compelling dramas, erudite non-fiction and sublime poetry. One final cry of terror, and suddenly her world shifted violently, until a blinding collision scattered her mind and shook her bones. Then, the pain. The freezing water. And as all sensation drifted away, a hand reached for hers before all faded into darkness. . . .

In the midst of a fierce storm, a carriage carrying Sir John Mayfield, Lady Marianna Mayfield, and her lady's companion careens off a narrow cliff road, changing their fates forever. When the wreckage is found, Sir John is gravely injured, and a woman is discovered unconscious wearing a valuable ring. As the woman regains consciousness in a strange house, she grapples with fragmented memories of the accident, unsettling dreams of a child in peril, and a deep mystery tied to the ring on her finger. Surrounded by unfamiliar faces and haunted by a sense of foreboding, the survivor realizes she cannot trust anyone and must uncover the truth of what happened that stormy night, even as danger mounts and enemies conspire against her.

In this revised and updated 10th anniversary edition of Julie Klassen's acclaimed novel, a woman's startling secrets lead her into unexpected danger and romance in Regency England.

Lady Maybe is a clean Regency romance full of mystery, adventure, and a search for identity. This novel will delight fans of the amnesia trope, Julia Quinn, Jane Austen, and Mimi Matthews.

When Hannah Briggs returns home for her father’s funeral, she isn’t prepared to unearth a secret that shatters everything she thought she knew about him—and herself. Hidden within the pages of his worn Bible is a letter addressed to a woman named Eleanor, a name she’s never heard but somehow feels strangely connected to.

As she digs deeper into her father’s past, Hannah turns to Joshua, her childhood friend and a quiet bookbinder with his own unspoken feelings. Together, they piece together a love story lost to silence, regret, and time—one that forces Hannah to confront the fragile lines between memory and truth, faith and forgiveness.

But as long-buried emotions begin to rise and the bond between her and Joshua deepens, Hannah must decide if she's ready to open her heart—not only to her family's complicated legacy, but to a second chance she never saw coming.

Can love bloom in the aftermath of grief and uncertainty? Or will the truth she uncovers leave her even more lost than before?
