Summary

Agent Ignacio Ritter is happy serving the CXO, the Central Xenomorph Organization, from the safety of his desk. He has good reasons for avoiding field work like the plague: his parents died in the field, leaving him to be raised among wolf-shifters. Because of his adopted family, everyone thinks he is a wolf, a lie that protects him from the ridicule he'd face if he revealed the truth.
When the charming and dangerous tiger-shifter Agent Reed Daily chooses Ignacio to help close the book on a gang threatening to tear Chicago apart, Ignacio can't refuse. Perhaps it's the chance to avenge his parents, or perhaps it's the tight fit of Reed's suit and heat Reed's smile ignites in Ignacio. When the chips are down and whole city's depending on him, will Ignacio prove himself man or ...

Hunter Lewis does not believe in luck. He believes in hard work and making tough decisions, which is how he became the Duke, one of Naked Boys Films' most popular models.
Since his start in the adult film industry, he's earned himself a reputation for being one hell of a power top and has even won the coveted title of Naked Boy of the Year. So when his favorite director, Sam, claims it's his lucky day when he calls him in for an unscheduled shoot, Hunter doesn't think much of it. Until, of course, he meets the newest Naked Boy, Lynn Valentine.
This will be Lynn's first film ever, and he's specifically requested Hunter to be his partner in the shoot. Not only is Lynn the hottest guy Hunter has ever seen, he's also sweet and adorable and very cuddly, with the bubbliest personality and a smile like sunshine. Hunter does not mix his personal and professional lives, but he's never hit it off so well with another model before.
Luck or not, this might be the shoot that changes everything.

A New York Times New-in-Poetry feature
Marlanda Dekine’s debut collection is a holy, radical unlearning and reclamation of self. What does it mean to be a Gullah-Geechee descendant from a rural place where a third of the nation’s founding wealth was harvested by trafficked West and Central Africans? Dekine’s poems travel across age and time, signaling that both the past and future exist in the present. Through erasure and persona, Dekine reimagines intergenerational traumas and calls institutions from the Works Progress Administration narratives to modern-day museums to task.
Beyond gospel music, fear, and the stories of generations past, Thresh & Hold offers magic, healing, and innovative pathways to manifest intimacy. Dekine remembers, remakes, and brings forth their many selves, traveling far in order to deeply connect to a spiritual home within and all around them, calling: “I am listening to Spirit. I am not dying today.”
Marlanda Dekine is the winner of the 2021 New Southern Voices Poetry Prize, judged by Gabrielle Calvocoressi.

Sometimes the world is actually ending…
Dawson Hill is used to the routine and isolation of working on an oil platform in the North Sea. He’s woken up by what he thinks is an emergency drill, then the platform shudders and tilts like it’s about to fall into the sea…but the sea is gone. The oil platform is now on an island. And the island is inhabited by all kinds of beings. It soon becomes clear that rescue isn’t coming, and they are running out of food.
Magic is gone, and the water tastes different. Is different. King Ul doesn’t know what to tell his people when they look to him for answers about what happened or what the metal contraption is. The invaders must have answers, so when they leave the metal boxes, he has them arrested, which is how he discovers the marks on his skin glow in the presence of one man. His mate.
Even though Ul wants to get his tentacles on Dawson, he doesn’t have time for love while his kingdom is in trouble.
A gay Christmas/solstice romance in the Mytho Collapse world, which is set when the mythological world collapses into the human world, and part of Tinsel and Tentacles

The city girl who just inherited an apple orchard, the farmhand who thought it should go to her & their fight to fix it up.

    BELLS:

I didn't even know I had an aunt who lived upstate. So when she leaves her apple orchard to me, I assume it's a good way to get my law school loans paid off. As I set to sell the place, the last thing I anticipated was a stubborn farmhand who thought she knew everything about me.

    TILLY:

It's bad enough the orchard wasn't left to me, but it was left to a city girl with no experience. She walks onto the orchard in four inch heels and the intention to sell. It burns me inside, but I know how much this place meant to her aunt. So instead of letting her sell, I convince her to let me fix it up and sell it to me at the end of the season.

She's the last person I'd ever pick to spend time with, until the leaves start to change and I do too.

    Contains mature themes.

BIG MAN follows the life of Big, a middle-aged, Black British gay man who lives a gentle life with his boyfriend, Little, in their home in East London. Big and Little enjoy evenings out and group holidays with friends, as much as practising yoga together at home, and running side by side along the Hackney canals.

Big came of age in the club scene under the watchful eye of Mother, an African American trans woman who made a home and a name for herself in London, her house a refuge for wayward queer youth like Big. When he finds out Mother is releasing a memoir, the two reconnect after decades of distance, and Big finds himself having to confront a long-repressed assault that opens old – and new – wounds.

A tender, daring novel full of gentle humour, BIG MAN explores themes of identity, aging, sex, family, and trauma, turning a lens on what it means to age as a queer person, while being a double-edged love letter to the people and places that make us.
