  Compassion is a fundamental human quality, one that transcends individual differences and connects us to one another in profound ways. While sympathy may evoke a response such as feeling sad for someone, compassion urges us to take action in a positive way. Compassion connects us to others through action and intention, and it is through this action that we create genuine bonds and meaningful relationships.
