This powerful new collection of wisdom will help us find hope, peace, self-acceptance, and inspiration on the days we feel worn down, helpless, or sad. Written with love and understanding, it reminds us that, amidst our daily struggles and constant outpourings of bad news, we have so much to hope for and that every one of us can play a part, big or small, in making the world a better place. With poems such as Surrounded by Treasure, That Thing You Do, Through the Wringer, and Rope Ladder, Donna Ashworth helps us remember that most people in this world are good and that acts of kindness and love within our individual spheres of influence, however small, all contribute to a better future. She also gently guides us, no matter how busy or overburdened we may be, to practice better self-care and self-acceptance.

The Caroline era was dominated by the growing religious, political and social conflict between the King and his supporters; the Royalists and it's Puritan opposition; the Roundheads.

In contrast to the wars raging across Europe at the time, the Caroline period in Britain was an uneasy peace, as a dark shadow of civil conflict between King and Parliament worsened toward the latter part of Charles’ reign.

Whilst Theatre unquestionably fell from its glittering peak achievements of William Shakespeare and Ben Jonson, in Poetry the standard was perhaps only just shy of this bar.

This Caroline period saw the flourishing of the Cavalier poets including Thomas Carew, Richard, Lovelace and Sir, John Suckling and the Metaphysical poets including George Herbert,, Henry Vaughan and Katherine Phillip. These movements had also given birth to the talents of the masterful John Donne, as well as lyrically satisfying artists like Robert Herrick. To this heady, yet eclectic mix we can add the early work of John Milton.

In this volume we demonstrate that these poets, quite rightly, make the Caroline Age one of the glories of poetry.

These four plays – White Mice, Who Shot Jacques Lacan?, Radio Rooster Says That's Bad and Over – written by Darren O'Donnell for his theatre company, Mammalian Diving Reflex, will challenge your politics, your ontology and everything you hold to be safe, stable and sacrosanct.

Inoculations documents O'Donnell's progress through the past decade, from the first presentation of Over in 1993 at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre's Rhubarb! festival to 2000's highly acclaimed, Dora-winning presentation of White Mice at Toronto's Theatre Passe Muraille. Covering subjects as diverse as racism and the light spectrum, these plays are provocative, innovative and riotously funny – as entertaining to experience on paper as on stage.

A vivid telling of the chaotic story of the partition that shaped the modern world.
London, 1947. Summoned by the Prime Minister from the court where he is presiding judge, Cyril Radcliffe is given an unlikely mission. He is to travel to India, a country he has never visited, and, with limited survey information, no expert support and no knowledge of cartography, he is to draw the border which will divide the Indian sub-continent into two new Sovereign Dominions. To make matters even more challenging, he has only six weeks to complete the task.
Wholly unsuited to his role, Radcliffe is unprepared for the dangerous whirlpool of political intrigue and passion into which he is plunged - untold consequences may even result from the illicit liaison between the Leader of the Congress Party and the Viceroy's wife' As he begins to break under the pressure he comes to realise that he holds in his hands the fate of millions of people.
