Sinopse

SOME SECRETS CAN'T BE HIDDEN IN THE SHADOWS
When Eric Bradley was thirteen, something viciously killed his brother during a family camping trip near the small town of Sander's Run, leaving Eric barely alive and bleeding out on the forest floor.
The authorities said it was a wild animal, but Eric knows it was something much worse.
Now, fourteen years later, Eric has returned to Sander's Run with a single goal: to find and kill the thing responsible for his brother's death.
Sander's Run is a town full of secrets; a place where everyone has something to hide. To find the monster that killed his brother, Eric will have to follow it into the shadows where it lives…and hunts.
But the shadows conceal more than monsters. In the shadows are answers that will force Eric to question everything he thought he knew about what happened to his brother.
And everything he thought he knew about reality itself.

The Shadow over Innsmouth is one of the most beloved and eternally chilling stories from H. P. Lovecraft. The narrator travels through the nearby decrepit seaport of Innsmouth which is suggested as a cheaper and potentially interesting next leg of his journey. There he interacts with strange people and observes disturbing events that ultimately lead to horrifying and personal revelations.

It forms part of the Cthulhu Mythos, using its motif of a malign undersea civilization. It references several shared elements of the Mythos, including place-names, mythical creatures and invocations.

The story is about a family who moves to a castle haunted by the ghost of a dead nobleman, who killed his wife and was starved to death by his wife's brothers. The home of the Canterville Ghost was the ancient Canterville Chase, which has all the accoutrements of a traditional haunted house. Descriptions of the wainscoting, the library panelled in black oak, and the armour in the hallway characterise the setting. Wilde mixes the macabre with comedy, juxtaposing devices from traditional English ghost stories such as creaking floorboards, clanking chains, and ancient prophecies.
