Summary

Intermediate Alphabet for the 21st century.

 Dear parents,

Welcome to the Intermediate Alphabet, the second step to the Advanced Alphabet for us - and our smart kids.

This book introduces our children to the Alphabet in words, illustrations and beautiful photos on four different levels so that you can use it for many years to come.

At the same time, it connects your kids with the natural world, teaches them modesty and the importance of protecting nature, introduces the diversity of our world and different races, improves their observation skills and teaches them their first foreign language as well – education for children and parents alike.

How to use the intermediate Alphabet for several years - and on four (4) different levels?

 1st level

Although your kid is the smartest one on the block, don’t rush to teach them everything at the age of two. Just turn off the TV, snuggle up on the couch together, show them photos and enjoy their reactions.

 2nd level

Start teaching your kid the Alphabet and their first simple words using illustrations like in most other Alphabet books, but combined with photos of the natural world.

 3rd level

Now you both know the Alphabet. After mastering the second level, move to

other objects you can find in the photo. Great to improve their observation.

 4th level

Kids at a young age are great at learning new languages. Have some fun - search

for similarities in words and laugh at your pronunciation together.

The intermediate Alphabet for our smart kids - and the new era.
Available since: 03/23/2022.

    Patient Doctor Privilege

Being the subject matter and writer, David takes a no-holds-bar approach to deciphering his past. From being a teenager fed up with the lack of guidance from the adults in his life, to an angry 20-year-old that thinks he knows everything and ultimately a man who had to put the pieces back together after being committed to several psych wards on a number of occasions. He never saw the moment on the end of his bed thinking about the nature of the world resulting in him losing touch with reality. But it was the moment he broke through the pressures in the west: to be better; to work harder; and ultimately chase your dreams. That he realised nothing meant anything. The only purpose in life was to laugh when something was funny, cry when something was sad, move when the wind blew, eat when you were hungry and enjoy ever fleeting moment. However, being a disciplined, calculated, accomplished engineer, this new paradigm didn’t fit in with the persona he had spent a like time creating. On multiple occasions these two conflicting worlds clashed and opened up opportunities for growth and self-discovery. But be prepared. While talking about his underlying issues has become second nature for him, and he has been hospital free for several years, his autobiography is confronting, confusing and potentially eye opening. Unlike the hero he thought he was at a young age, he closes with identifying with the coward within and admitting that just because he couldn’t see a future, it didn’t mean one wasn’t awaiting him around the corner. Similarly, to that which is discussed behind closed doors, he opens with inviting you to his ‘Patient Doctor Privilege’. He contests such a privilege needs to be dissolved for the collective benefit and admits despite the necessity to disconnect at times, that each of us, no matter how fucked up we are or even if we’ve hurt someone, we need to talk about it with one another.

    Dismissive Avoidant Attachment -...

Do you feel disconnected with your partner?Do you feel coldness and distance within your relationship that is difficult to explain? Are you worried about drifting apart?

Attachment styles are the way in which we connect with other people. They are generally developed by infants and further refined by children, adolescents and adults.

Often, the dismissive avoidant sees themselves as some sort of lone wolf. They feel that they don’t need anyone and that nobody needs them. They can drift in and out of everyone’s lives without causing any sort of emotional havoc and they like that lack of accountability or obligation.
They may also shy away when you open up to them. Feeling close can feel like a danger zone and so they avoid it.
They value independence and ultimately fear that they will be enmeshed; the idea that a relationship will swallow them up.

If you believe that a loved one has this style of attachment, understanding where the instincts come from may also help you to respond to them.

People with dismissive avoidant attachment may show signs of:
    Avoidance of eye contact.
    Avoidance of physical touch.
Rarely, or even never, asking for help.
Such feelings, if experienced too often or too intensely, may ultimately make a relationship non-sustainable.

The good news is that you can change the attachment style. It may take time, work and a great deal of understanding from people in life. However, it is possible to build intimate, secure relationships that fulfil and help you to feel safe.
Understanding and managing the wounds of attachment is the best gift that you can give to your relationship.

Diving straight to the core of the analytical memoir, Under the Collar: Frank Conversations about Healing that Harms, Simply Speaking is an audiobook abridgement.
The narrated articles turn those problematic interactions, goofs and outright carelessness worsening healthcare into blunt snippets of cause-and-effect.
Simply Speaking still follows the lone hospitalist voicing the dirty truths among medical providers. Openly narrated, the experiences and analyses follow real conversations the writer shared with colleagues and friends.
Based on over 15 years of actual clinical experiences as an Internist and Pediatrician, Under the Collar is a five-part conversation between a hospitalist and fellow practitioners, beginning with other hospitalists then moving onto other specialists, emergency physicians, nurses and administrators.
The issues are medical, but the insults are universal.
