Beschreibung

The opening of the prison. Have you ever felt like you've been in prison? You've been spending some time there recently? I don't know about you, but it's time to get out. God has given us a Get Out of Jail Free Code.

Isaiah 61 and Luke 4:18 talks about things to do with the opening of the prison, the opening of the prison some of us have a coffin prison. And it is God's figurative illustration of the release of imprisonment It's an imprisonment something you've been held captive. It could be sickness; it could be sin can be everything and anything. Anything that happened and could have come upon our lives in the fall, is a prison when Adam and Eve fell everything that they open that door to becomes a prison in our life and it covers every phase of our redemption and our salvation. And what I have to say applies equally to every bondage known, there is no bondage that is not known that we're coming in that we're not supposed to be free of, and I'm telling you if you are physically well and your problem is one of the many others then think of your problem as an open prison and we're going to follow instructions and I believe that God's given us. He's given us instructions to get out of prison we're not going to have to make a pic out of a toothbrush we're not going to have to use the spoon that we had in the cafeteria and use that to dig our way out like some of those bad prison movies, but you can keep God busy filling his promises for you.

Commentary from Christopher Ash Sets Out a Deeply Christian Study of Psalms 51–100
While reading Psalms, it is common for commentaries to focus on Old Testament meaning, without connecting it deeply to Christ's fulfillment in the New Testament. By studying Scripture this way, believers miss out on the fullness of God's word. The key to experiencing authentically Christian worship is learning a Christ-focused approach to praying and singing the Psalms.
In this thorough commentary, Christopher Ash provides a careful treatment of Psalms 51–100, examining each psalm's significance to David and the other psalmists, to Jesus during his earthly ministry, and to the church of Christ in every age. Ash includes introductory quotations, a deep analysis of the text's structure and vocabulary, and a closing reflection and response, along with selected quotations from older readings of the Psalms. Perfect for pastors, Bible teachers, and students, this commentary helps readers sing and pray the Psalms with Christ in view.

    - Exhaustive: Christopher Ash's exegesis explores how the Psalms are quoted and echoed throughout the New Testament
    - Applicable and Heartfelt: Explains how a Christ-centered approach to reading the Psalms influences doctrines of prayer, prophecy, the Trinity, ecclesiology, and more
    - Ideal for Pastors and Serious Students of Scripture: Written for Bible teachers, Sunday school and youth leaders, and small-group leaders

Faithfully walking—and uncovering joy—on a road paved with suffering. The Christian life is marked with great suffering. We live in a fallen and broken world full of disappointments and the loss of dreams. And there is a cost to following Christ—often painfully felt in close relationships. In her book Still Standing, Lina AbuJamra shares how God’s refining process makes Him bigger in our hearts and transforms us into people who are like Him. Our pain can lead to despair and bitterness, or it can make us more like Jesus. But we must be willing to undergo the refining process—and this hurts.Lina shows us the truly amazing and beautiful reality that we can have joy amidst the most difficult of circumstances. Without denying the real pain many of us carry, Lina shows Christians how to rediscover joy. She shows us how God’s presence is our guarantee for joy no matter what we’re going through. Lina looks to current and biblical stories to show us how refined people can be used by God to persevere and build His kingdom.I love talking about God’s radical calling of His children and what it means to follow Jesus wholeheartedly, especially when it hurts. If there is one thing that continues to surprise me as I follow Jesus, it’s the difficulty of the journey, the unexpected delays, the detours, the disappointments, and the waiting. Despite what I know about God, I still catch myself taken aback by the amount of suffering endured in the pursuit of one’s calling. It is my hope that this book inspires hope in the hearts of followers of Jesus who have encountered suffering as they have pursued obedience to Christ.Still Standing is an updated edition, previously published with the title Stripped.
