Abigail, a children's book author haunted by past traumas, returns to her childhood home to care for her ailing father, who is suffering from Alzheimer's.
Shortly after her arrival, she is thrust into a nightmarish reality as she uncovers chilling family secrets.
Her journey becomes an intense battle for sanity, pulling her into a confrontation with her deepest fears and long-buried traumas. As she pieces together the past, she realizes her family's legacy is entwined with something far more sinister, leaving her to question what's real and what lies in the shadows of her mind.
This isn't a story about monsters in the closet. It's about the ones that linger behind your eyelids when you're too terrified to sleep. Within her father's unraveling mind and the suffocating walls of her childhood home, she senses something rotting, something watching. Each sleepless night pulls her deeper into a fractured reality where memory and hallucination blur, unearthing horrors that refuse to stay buried.
Relentlessly unsettling, Purgatory is a horror story without mercy-an exploration of memory, identity, and the terrifying possibility that once you've crossed certain lines, there's no coming back. The end of daze.

Granted, a seriously dreamy guy with delicious, wind-swept hair she just itches to run her fingers through. But still. Dead men may be great listeners, but they are not exactly boyfriend material. Dracula, a Gothic novel by Bram Stoker, published in 1897, is derived from old vampire legends and is the basis for an entire genre of literature and film. Dracula, the archetypal vampire, is depicted in the novel as having been the origin of the many werewolf legends. The willowy count is believed to have been inspired by the 15th-century Vlad the Impaler, and by Sir Henry Irving, an actor for whom Stoker was a personal assistant. One of Dracula's most iconic powers is his ability to turn others into vampires by biting them and thus infecting them with the vampiric disease. Stoker's novel takes the form of an epistolary tale, in which Count Dracula's characteristics, powers are narrated by multiple narrators. Count Dracula is an undead, centuries-old vampire, and Transylvanian nobleman descended from Attila the Hun. He inhabits a decaying castle in the Carpathian Mountains near the Borgo Pass. Dracula is devilishly handsome and charismatic, with a veneer of dark aristocratic charm. Likewise, he possesses supernatural abilities gained through his intimate dealings with the Devil. Dracula does not cast a shadow or reflect in mirrors. He can defy gravity and possesses superhuman agility, able to climb vertical surfaces upside down. In the novel he also has great hypnotic, telepathic and illusionary powers. This is the rare, long lost original 1897 manuscript - published here for the first time.

Death is supposed to be the end. Not in my world.

The dead never move on, not since Death walked off the job and disappeared. As a necromancer, it's my job to police the spirits while they remain stuck and, well, problematic a lot of the time. Death really needs to take his head out of his backside and get back to work, wherever he might be.

After a horrible incident in the tunnels of the London Underground, my life takes a sharp turn. It's all my fault and I'm sent off to a small town, a move to keep me out of sight and mind for the time being. Shamed, reputation dragged through the dirt. I'm not getting that promotion anytime soon.

On my first day in the town, I get caught up in a strange murder case, and Death saves my life. Yes, the Death. The delectable, mysterious Death.

Goodness, he is hotness personified. But what happened to make him walk away from his responsibilities? And why is he so deliciously tempting, my desire a raging inferno every time he looks at me with those incredible eyes? I shouldn't be thinking of an immortal being like this, but with every passing hour I can't stop myself from falling deeper into infatuation.

    I want him.

    Resistance is . . . impossible.
